Assalam u Alaikum

How are you all, I hope you all are fine and I am perfectly fine too.

I always start my day with the blessed name of Allah, It makes my day and my mood so much better. After offering Fajr prayer, I sleep for a few hours because it is very cold at that time and as usual I wake up at 10 o'clock.

First of all, there is breakfast time. In breakfast, no heavy diet is taken. Something light is good to eat. So I like to have biscuits or cake rus with tea but now a few days ago I made besan barfi which is made in desi ghee.

Gram flour is used to make besan from which we make barfi. And in it we also add lots of dry fruits like almonds coconuts and walnuts etc as per our choice. It is very tasty to eat and it is a healthy diet during winters so we make it a must every year.

After breakfast, we prepare for lunch. For lunch we have cooked chicken and peas curry. Gas load shedding is high in winters, so I try to cook in easy and shortcut way.

First put the onion in the cooker, Blend green chillies and tomatoes and add it. And set the timer on the cooker for ten minutes. After that add oil and fry a little.

Then add the chicken and brown it lightly. And then add some spices that are very important like salt, red pepper, turmeric and ground coriander. If you have curd, mix these spices in the curd so the taste becomes even more delicious. And curd makes gravy pretty good too. I didn't have curd so I skipped the curd and continued with my cooking. Fry all these spices well in the chicken. The chicken gravy looked so delicious that I wanted to eat it with hot naan.

Let's move on to the next procedure.

After roasting the chicken well, add the peas and add as much water as you want to the gravy. I added two glasses of water. And kept it to cook for ten minutes and finally added hot spices and green coriander which makes it taste very good. And one important thing if you have desi ghee then add two spoons of it. Add it is optional, if you don't add it, it doesn't matter, but if you have desi ghee, then you must try it. Desi ghee makes the curry very tasty.

After making the curry, it's time to make the hot roti with butter or desi ghee. It's very fun. Put butter or desi ghee on the roti. It depends on you. I like parathas at night everyone forbids to eat parathas at night but I am forced by habit. I like parathas at night which I eat daily. In our homes mostly butter and desi ghee is used which is very beneficial for health.

After eating, some time is spent with the children and small household chores are done. Lunch is eaten late so at night we try not to have a heavy diet. At night we eat food which is not good for our health at all ( just kidding ). Chips, Roll, Gol Gappe, All this is sold by a man outside our house, whose name is Jameel. Its gol gappy and chips are very popular and taste amazing.

Or we prefer burgers and shawarma. But now we skip everything and make chips at home.
In a very simple way, long slices of potatoes are cutt and mix some salt and fried. Later enjoy with chaat masala.
