What's A "HOME"?

It's a monumental building,
With a Quintessence acrylic,
Surrounded by green roses,
Adorned with regalia of love.

It's that dilapidated hut,
Where vegetable is gulped down in peace,
It's that magnificent mansion,
Where fattened bull is gobbled up in unity.

It's that......"Haven",
That lodges in our hearts,
In our search for fortune,
Melting our hearts in every reminiscence...

It's that ever-loving "WOMAN"..(Mother),
And that ever-caring "MAN"(Father),
And those empathetic souls ( Siblings),
That builds the Unseen Structure called...."Home".

Greetings friends it was my delight to write the above poem for this amazing contest I hope you like it!

when I was a kid there is a nursery rhyme we used to sing: "Oh my home, oh my home, oh my home! Oh my home! when shall I see my home? when shall I see my beautiful home I will never forget my home! Home"!!! Indeed there's no place like home.

For me, home is more than a physical structure it is a comfort zone and a safe haven, it is where our heart belongs, a place we are surrounded by loved ones.

Home is our family, a home could be anywhere in the world as long as it makes us feel comfortable, as long as it brings peace of mind. Home is where we build our memories and future wealth as well.

it is a place we can truly be ourselves it could be a person's arm that makes us feel safe, warm and love :) I know I won't be wrong to say mothers are home.

When a man declares his intentions of getting married to a particular woman in his family, the first question his loved ones will ask includes; is the woman from a good home?
A good home in this aspect means a virtuous, morally excellent woman. Someone who loves and respects her family, someone who has admirable and pleasing qualities superior one at that, not negative, bad energy. A kind and generous person etc.

What is your house type (classic/minimalist, etc)

I got a humble house, but I love it like this, you know contentment is the key to true happiness, my house shelters me and I love it.

Tell us about the parts of your house.

There's a sitting room (lounge) there are couches in this room and television, etc. we used to receive our visitors here.

Dining room: this is where we normally eat together, you know a family who eats together stays together 💪

3 Bedrooms: one for my husband and I, one for the kids, and one for visitors.

A kitchen: This is the powerhouse or calls it the engine room, this is where I normally prepare meals for my family.

Veranda: a balcony extended outside the building of our house, at times I normally sat at the veranda to make posts or catch fresh air!

What's unique about your home?

I like the serenity that exists in my home, it's normally calm and quiet. My house is at the Estate, that's why its always quiet, I can think clearly and meditate especially when my kids left for school. The serenity is for me, my home is peaceful.

When did you build it?

Since 6 years ago!

What room do you like the most?

My Room

Where do you spend most of your time at home?

I spent most of my time in my room, I mean this is where I used to rest, and sleep, I normally dressed up in my room, and I love it there. I love other places too but I spent most of my time in my room.

Tell us how you take care of your home (room, garden, pool, etc.)

And so on...

I love clean environments, it makes us healthy, I used to sweep my house twice or more than that a day (due to my little ones) and I used to scrubbed and moped the floor at least twice a week. I cleaned the Windows, nets, and curtains every month. And I washed the veranda (surroundings) every two months, especially this rainy season. Cleanliness is next to Godliness, so I don't joke with it.

I love my beautiful home, my heart belongs here, and it gives me peace of mind and comfort when I needed it. My family is my home they're so loving and caring.
