The best thing is to treat your partner as you wish to be treated yourself. Give them their space, and let them do what they want to do. If you overpress them, your marriage is bound to break. So love and cooperation are the key in a marriage.
@dove11, you are a great teacher and from experiences you've had for so many years, I concur to your advice which I know would help me in the nearest future but, from observations and conversations with the married here, they seem not to believe in giving space to their partner, they feel they should get involved in everything and never miss a thing, what do you think about that Sir?

Look, this all depends on mindset of the person you meet or study their behavior. However, different societies have different rules but the universal rule of saving the marriage is the same- How you treat your partners.
