This photo always makes my hair stand on end, the man in the photo is Joe Metheny, a man who was nicknamed "Joe the hamburger", and later I will tell you why.

Joe since childhood had a very difficult childhood, his father was a drug addict and died when he was just 6 years old, his mother could not provide him with all the support he needed since he worked double shifts to support him and his brothers.

He was a smart kid, got good grades and had a few friends.

Joe grew up and got a job as a truck driver, he was a person who spent a lot of time in bars, drinking with friends and a few homeless people. He lived with his wife who was a drug addict and his daughter.

What unleashed Joe's madness was to have come home one day after work and found that his wife had abandoned him and taken their daughter. That was the point of no return for him.

He investigated and got information that his wife had left with another man and that they were living under a bridge, but when he arrived at the place there were only two homeless people, in which, Joe unleashed all his fury and hatred by killing them.

Then a few days later, he murdered two sex workers. And here comes the moment when I tell you the reason for his nickname, Joe took the bodies, ground the parts he could, mixed them with pork and froze them. Months later he opened a food stall on the side of the road and sold hamburgers with the "meat mix" made by him.

He was arrested after he tried to get more "ingredients" for his burgers, with a sex worker, who escaped and reported him to police.

He is credited with 13 murders of which he was convicted of two for lack of evidence.

"The next time you travel down the road and come across a meat stall you've never seen before, remember this story before you bite. You never know who you're going to eat."

It was one of the statements that Joe "the hamburger" Metheny said with laughter. According to pork it is very similar to human meat in taste.
