The Interview Showcase #115: Exclusive Talk with A Pakistani developer/blogger

On this week's show, I interacted with @bountyking5 , a Pakistani developer who is a member of the bangla witness. And presently working with the Steemwatcher's team. For almost a year now, he has been striving to update the Steemwatcher's list of abusers with his team and so, I was curious to know what is involve in this role, hence my reason for this interview.

: Hi Raza, it's nice to have you on my Interview Showcase today, how will you describe yourself to everyone in the community who doesn't know much about you?

🔶Bountyking5 : It's hard to talk about myself. I'm just a blogger. My real name is Muhammad Ali Raza, and I am from Pakistan. I am currently working as an Oracle developer, and on Steemit, I have developed the Steemwatcher portal along with many other tools that are based on the Steemit for plagiarism detection.

: Are you married and how do you balance your offline responsibilities and that of Steemit?

🔶Bountyking5 : Yes, I am married. Balancing my offline responsibilities with Steemit is always challenging, but I manage by setting aside specific time for both. Staying organized and maintaining a clear schedule helps me handle both responsibilities. On Steemit, I am a moderator of well known communities that are developed with specific purposes and aims

: How long have you been on Steemit and how have you been affected positively through blogging here?

🔶Bountyking5 : I have been on Steemit since 2020. Blogging on steemit had a positive impact on me in many ways. It help me to connect with a global community by enhancing my skills in content creation like photography, daily life blogging and development content etc.

: How far do you think you can go on Steemit?

🔶Bountyking5 : My believe is, I can go quite far on Steemit. By enhancing the knowledge in the area of steemit blockchain development, I can see myself becoming more influential on steemit. By staying active and contributing in meaningful content, My aim is to grow both personally and professionally.

: I have been following up some of your updates from the Steemwatcher's list of abuse for a very long time since it was created, what does it take to catch these abusers?

🔶Bountyking5 : Catching abusers on Steemit requires a combination effective tools and community support. I have design many Steemwatcher tools that help to identify the steemit routing accounts that used by one person for suspicious activities. Collaboration with the other community is also crucial as it helps to save the reports and evidence against abusers.

: What are the key things you and your team consider before adding a user to that list?

🔶Bountyking5 : In the first step, we leave a warning comment to the user posts, if they engage in activities such as reward farming, repeating content, plagiarism, spamming or using copyright label images. If the user continues these behaviors despite our instructions, we move to blacklist them and initiate a downvote trail system against the offending user.

: How has the community responded to this initiative?

🔶Bountyking5 : The community has responded positively to this initiative. Many users appreciate the efforts to maintain a healthy and plagiarism free environment on Steemit. The Steemcurator team also supports our project and highlights users who engage in abusive activities.

: Each day or week, your team identified abusers and sometimes expose them, do you think this approach is helping at all in terms of reducing these ones?

🔶Bountyking5 : Yes, this approach is indeed helping in reducing abusive behavior. We have over 800 users on our blacklist, which prevents them from receiving any rewards from Steemit. The downvote trail system helps to minimize these activities on the platform..

: What do you think users can do to attract more prolific developers to create more useful initiative in the blog like the Steemwatcher?

🔶Bountyking5 : As you are doing great work to showcase Steemit projects, highlighting successful projects and their impact on the community can attract attention and inspire more developers to contribute their skills. But handsome amount of reward is required for developers to share their skills on Steemit because they are the piller of blockchain network.

: How would you rate the developer community on Steemit? And what are your favourite Steem tools ?

🔶Bountyking5 : As discussed in the above, developers are the pillers of Steemit blockchain network. My favourite Steem tool is steemone , steemwatcher , steempro and steemworld

: Most of the abusers your team catches are some new or unknown newly created accounts, does it mean there are no old abuser's account that are still operating in the blog freely ? Are there no old users who are still committing fraud and hiding under the umbrella of some big responsibilities in the blog?

🔶Bountyking5 : We are working on it step by step. While many of the abusers we catch are new or unknown accounts, there are still older accounts that engage in reward farming through delegation. We are actively thinking and making plans to address these accounts and tighten our grip on their activities.

: It would be interesting to see how your team unveil this. The bad guys are still in town hiding under their shadows. Fetch them and the job is complete and fair.

: Over the past few months, what has been your favorite moment and least favorite moment on Steemit?

🔶Bountyking5 : My favorite moment on Steemit was last month when our founder @rme launched the first meme coin on steemit platform called "PUSS." A great and well-known community is behind this project and it represents a significant step forward. I love this coin, and it truly stands out as my favorite moment on Steemit. : What do you like doing in your leisure?

🔶Bountyking5 : In my leisure time, I enjoy a variety of activities. I like to watch mobies and play video games especially PUBG.

: On average, how many hours per week do you put into Steemit-related efforts?

🔶Bountyking5 : On daily basis, I dedicate more than 3 to 4 hours to Steemit and related activities. Mostly time is spent on discord to discuss the Steemit related issues with my team to managing projects and grow the communities..
