Can I create a Table of Contents in Steemit.com?

As an author, you can't create a Table of Contents in steemit.com and probably any of the top general interfaces because internal anchor links are not supported. Here's a post with more details.
Update: After the discussion with jarvie and asgarth above, SteemPeak will probably have this fully functional in the next release. :)
I don't understand what you mean by "Table of contents"
Can you give a visual example of what you're asking?
My question is: why does it have to be steemit.com only what about the other dozens of interfaces for steem?
