The mighty trees have been stripped of their leaves,
A foreign, sudden aridity has done the unexpected;
Their falling large leaves have absorbed the oceans dry;
Yet another sign that the fall is nigh.

The work of the hands are,
Turned over and over upon the head;
The wealthy begs from the hungry for their little pie;
From the dark side of the pot;
From a faraway land drought has intruded the area,
Yet another sign that the fall is nigh.

A sudden state has cursed the surface of the land;
Every eye look but no eye sees;
The unknown blindness has created a veil on our eyes;
An impending danger now cleaves to our hangers;
Yet another sign that the fall is nigh.

The fall will shake the land but the land will not quake;
The worst will happen but the worst is yet to come;
The might shall fall upon the stout and the tall;
Yet another sign that the fall is nigh.

The fall is nigh.
