Esta es la chica del tren, una mujer deprimida que no puede superar su pasado y múltiples problemas, su vida es muy triste, vive alcoholizada gran parte del día. Su mejor pasatiempo es recrear en su mente la vida de las personas que viven a un costado de las vías del tren, entre estas personas se encuentra su "pareja perfecta" cada día los ve, los envidia, quiere ser amada, tal como una vez lo fue.

Estos viven en la casa 15 de beckett road mientras que su exmarido y actual esposa viven en la casa 13 de la misma calle, esto nos explica que la mujer se martiriza todos los días al recordar su antigua vida.

Esta chica es muy sensible, tanto así que una foto de su exesposo con su familia es suficiente para desatar en ella una borrachera épica.

Mientras se está recuperando de su faena otro golpe emocional le sobreviene, desde el tren observa a la chica "perfecta" engañando a su esposo, la protagonista se desequilibra totalmente y el alcohol toma el control absoluto de sus acciones, la mujer le va a reclamar a la infiel, ocurren un par de situaciones extrañas y la joven borracha amanece con sangre en sus manos, en su ropa y una herida en su cabeza.

La chica del tren, no sabe que hacer ni a donde dirigirse, no sabe qué ocurrió, pero sospecha que estando ebria ataco a alguien más, la mujer esta desesperada, busca en sus memorias el recuerdo claro de esa tarde noche, pero no logra nada.

La desaparición de la mujer "perfecta" la pone en aprietos, la policía la pone a ella como principal sospechosa, sus actos no le ayudan, pues la situación le hace creer que puede colaborar y se entromete mas de la cuenta, la mujer va dando tumbos entre el esposo de la desaparecida, el amante, la policía y un pasado que le atormenta .

La situación se complica aún más, y la chica alcohólica se encuentra con una serie de eventos que solo son posibles de solucionar si su mente recuerda.

A la final todo cambia y nada es lo que parece.
En esta película, vemos una interacción bastante buena entre los tiempos y sus protagonistas, desde la producción del film nos dan elementos que debemos conectar de a poco. Los personajes más interesantes de la cinta son la chica perfecta y la chica del tren, ambas son mujeres desdichadas, con un pasado y presente triste, ambas quieren cambiar sus vidas, ambas comparten tristezas, pero viven realidades muy distintas.
La chica del tren es una gran producción donde vemos misterio, drama, relaciones tóxicas, abusos, asesinatos, vicios y problemas de salud mental. Siendo honesto es una buena película, pero no le llega ni de cerca a lo que es el libro.

In this film, we see a pretty good interaction between the times and its protagonists, from the production of the film we are given elements that we must connect little by little. The most interesting characters of the film are the perfect girl and the girl on the train, both are unhappy women, with a sad past and present, both want to change their lives, both share sadness, but live very different realities.
The Girl on the Train is a great production where we see mystery, drama, toxic relationships, abuse, murder, vice and mental health issues. To be honest it's a good movie, but it doesn't come close to what the book is.

Un saludo bro, tienes razón en cuanto al escenario, la historia le dio demasiada importancia al exmarido de Rachel, sin embargo, cuando leí el libro estuve muy enfocado en terminarlo me encanto la forma como me entretuvo. Como lector del libro no me gusto la peli, pero siendo objetivo fue una gran película.
