Sen. Dianne Feinstein in stable condition after hospital visit for "minor fall" at California residence
Washington, DC — Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California was transported to the hospital momentarily after falling at her San Francisco home on Tuesday, according to her staff, the latest medical setback for the longtime Democratic politician.
"Senator Feinstein visited the hospital briefly yesterday afternoon as a precaution following a minor fall at home." "All of her scans were negative, and she was able to return home," her office said in a statement Wednesday.
The 90-year-old senator was hospitalized with shingles and complications from the condition earlier this year, keeping her away from Washington, D.C., for over three months. She recuperated at home in California for several weeks, delaying Senate activity.
After returning to Washington earlier this year, Feinstein said she "hadn't been gone," according to the Los Angeles Times.
