Open Church: Call for volunteers to be featured for future Open Church posts
Welcome to church! Open Church is a weekly post that aims to be a place where Christians on Hive and Steem can hang out, encourage and build up one another, and reflect the love of Christ. The church is not a building, but is made up of people who have been transformed by God’s grace.
Please note, this post is also replicated on Hive, and I’m usually more active on Hive. So I may not get to your comments here until a few days later.
Each week I will be putting up a new post with a new topic or theme for discussion. But feel free to come here just to fellowship and be a blessing to one another. Whatever denominational background your from, or if you’re just curious about the Christian faith, everyone is welcome.
So feel free to share a link to your favourite worship song, share a word of encouragement, a prayer request, or introduce yourself.
Call for volunteers to be featured for future Open Church posts
In the Open Church post last week, I called for suggestions for future posts. Thank you to all who provided suggestions.
In response to feedback, I have decided to include more community participation in future Open Church posts. I would like to have some of our trusted community members be interviewed or share their testimony. So on some weeks, I will be interviewing a member of the community, and allowing them to lead us that particular week. This way, we will hopefully get to know more individuals in our Christian community and be encouraged by one another. The person who is featured on the Open Church post for that week will receive all the liquid HBD funds for that post.

Good day i am in, just that i am not on the discord platform yet.
But here is what i have to share today. Everything you and i have or ever owned is given to us by God, so needless fighting or struggling with Him when He demands for it. When i see people refusing to give out money in church so that it could be used to help the needy or move the church work forward, i get marvelled.
Some even refuse to contribute intellectually to aid the golrowth of the church. If God were to hold back things the way we do then he would not have been so liberal enough to send His one and only begotten son to come and die for you and me. Perhaps he would have simply allowed us to use our blood to safe ourselves. So why cant you learn from God. Release that money, so that it could be used for the church work and other important things. That wisdom you have use it for the betterment of the church and other places, remember the intellect was given to you by God, may God help us,Amen.
