Dear Steemit Team,
Today, we are submitting the Steemit Learning Challenge—Application for Season 21. Our learning subject is Basic Electricity for Electricians. Through the course, we will teach Steemian friends or students basic electrical troubleshooting techniques at home or work. We will teach simply with our experience. The Steemit Team will approve our application and give students an opportunity to learn basic electricity.

Details of their experience in the subject area be it professional or hobbyist

The subject area they want to cover

I have learned from my experience as an electrical engineer for the last twelve years about the important things to do as an electrician. About fifteen electricians currently work as a team under me. I will give the most importance to practical work in my teaching. Because electrician students have to work with their hands, I will emphasize their use of electrical work safety devices.

I will not be able to make a complete electrician in my six-week lesson, but I will teach at least 90% basic electrical work. So, I will add the important theory parts and show the practical work.

Professor-2 Details

I am Solayman kabir from Bangladesh. My steemit account username is @solaymann. I am interested to apply to the basic electricity teaching team in steemit engagement challenge season 21. Because I have already completed diploma from electrical engineering department. I completed diploma from electrical engineering department in 2021. By completing a four year diploma course I have acquired sufficient knowledge of basic electricity. Basic electricity is important to understand the proper use of electricity and its workings. So I want engagement challenge season 21 to have a teaching team about basic electricity.

Three examples of the weekly lessons they would include in their course.

Week 01:
In the first week, I will discuss with the students the main equipment used in electrical work, which is very important. A student should learn how to use the equipment before starting electrical work, so I first teach my students about electrical hand tools.

  • Introduction to Electrical Hand Tools
  • Introduction to Electrical Measuring Instruments
  • Practical
  • Homework

Week 02:
After my students learn how to use electrical tools, the next important lesson they learn is how to splice electrical cables. Then, they need to know about electrical series and parallel connections. This week is very important for an electrician student.

  • Cable Joint
  • Series Circuit
  • Parallel Circuit
  • Practical
  • Homework

Week 03:
In week 03, my students will learn about different types of electricity. I will teach them about electric motors and types of motors. An electrician must connect electric motors at work and troubleshoot motors. I will teach them the following week so they can apply what I teach them in the workplace.

  • Types of Electricity
  • Electric Motors
  • Types of Electric Motors
  • Electrical Connection of Motors
  • Practical
  • Homework

Week 04:
Week 04 is very important for an electrician student. I will teach my students about house wiring. The electrical safety and beauty of a home depend on the work of an electrician, so I will only teach my students about house wiring this week.

  • House Wiring
  • Distribution Box Connection
  • Sub Distribution Box Connection
  • Practical
  • Homework

Week 05:
Knowledge of solar systems is an added experience for an electrician. This week, I will teach my students about different types of solar systems, load calculations, and the solar system setup process. I hope my students have an enjoyable and educational week.

  • Solar Power
  • Types of Solar Power
  • Load Calculation of Solar Power
  • Practical
  • Homework

Week 06:
In the last week, I will teach my students how to calculate electricity bills. Every student will be able to generate their home electricity bill. I also teach students how to calculate their home load and determine cable size. Hopefully, my students will benefit from learning the following tasks from me.

  • Calculate the electricity bill
  • Calculate the electrical load
  • Determine cable size by calculating the electrical load
  • Practical
  • Homework

Note: There are a few more important things I can add when submitting weekly courses.

Without electricity our life is stagnant, world is also stagnant without electrical technology. Agricultural and industrial economies are now completely dependent on electricity. Except for electrical technology, all the tools of civilization are meaningless. So it can be said that electricity has immense importance everywhere in civilization and its importance will remain forever.

By the way, your application is excellent. I am very optimistic about your application because I know you are very good at it. Every student of Steemit can gain more knowledge about Basic Electricity from you.

Best wishes for you.

Dear Sister,
Thank you very much for your nice comment. Development of the world without electricity is not possible. But power generation dependent on fossil fuels will be very difficult for the future world. So we have to rely on renewable energy. We therefore set aside a week for students to learn about renewable energy (solar). Hopefully we can teach Steemian friends some good lessons.

I also agree with you because most of the countries are adopting renewable energy as an alternative to meet their electricity needs. Many Steemit students will benefit from learning about your educational content.

Upvoted. Thank You for sending some of your rewards to @null. It will make Steem stronger.
