You all know your steemain @chiagoziee for #Nigeria, a pleasure being here to share my ideas on this contest. It's a pleasure to have you all on my post today. The seed drill machine has made it more efficient and faster in planting seeds. Pesticides must be used on a farm because they help to destroy pests, which are called farmers' enemies, as well as diseases.

Explain what you understand by "seed drill."

A seed drill can be referred to as an agricultural machine that inserts seeds in a continuous stream at a uniform rate and depth and covers the seed with the soil; it is usually pulled by a tractor.

A seed drill has various components, which are the frame, seed box, seed metering mechanism, depth control, side wheel, power transmission unit, and drive wheel. The drill carries the seeds and opens the furrow with a finishing touch of covering the seeds. Seed drill helps in reducing the erosion level in the land area. The drill also helps in conserving the moisture of the soil.

From your understanding, explain why crops are sprayed with pesticides.

Pesticides are mainly used by farmers in the cultivation of crops; they act as harmful agents to pests and diseases of crops; with the help of pesticides, farmers can produce crops in a large quantity and quality. As humans, we know that agriculture requires the use of pesticides to help plants grow well and strong. It helps to boost the production of crops by farmers of a particular country by making sure that crops are not harmed by disease pests and weeds.

With the aid pesticides provide for plants, they are usually healthy, and this also helps in preventing hard times for farmers every season. Pesticides help to reduce the population of pests, making the crops overpower the pests due to their minority.

How can cows produce enough milk? What do they need to be fed with to have enough milk?

Cows 🐄 🐄 have two pairs of mammal glands, consisting of four teats, which combine to form the organ known as the udder. Cows 🐄 can be milked manually or via machinery method. The grass which cows consume is converted into milk through the mammal gland; when the digestion is done, and the hormonal process, the quality of the produced milk is mainly determined by who the cow 🐄 eats daily.

The cow normally produces milk usually after the birth of a calf. For example, when there is green grass, the quality and fat level of the milk that will be produced will increase massively. The development level of the born calf is another factor that influences the content level of the milk.

The cows need to graze on fresh grass and clean water; this is the major thing that they need to consume to produce enough milk to keep the born calf healthy and strong.

Who invented the earliest milking machines and why? State some reasons.

The first milking machine that performed the proper task was the one that was invented by Norman Daysh; this was a man from New Zealand who created this machine in the early 1900s. The milking machine invented by Norman Daysh was a vacuum pump milking machine.

The early milking machine was invented because the use of the hand in milking was stressful. The early milking machine was not good for the extraction of milk because it caused pain for the cows during the milking process, but the modern-day milking machine is made with advanced automatic features, which allow it to perform the process without making the cow feel uncomfortable.

I will like to invite @mainuna, @impersonal, @aspiya, @josepha, @goodybest, @precious9 and @saintpaul17 to participate in this contest.
