Why is the performance (website speed) of Steemit.com so bad?
There isn't a single day I can say that Steemit's performance is good. It's actually a disaster. I sometimes have to wait 40 seconds for a page to load or I wait 2 minutes for Steem Keychain before a transaction is ready.
I want e.g. Giving a rank to 50 new members of Account Booster, that takes over an hour??
For me, Steemit.com is hardly worth using anymore. Since I wrote this months ago, this problem is not new and will probably not really be fixed in the next few months. In between there are a day or two when things go really well, but then this bad performance comes back again. I have a guess as to why that is. Steemit's team is experimenting with the live version of the site. There are usually testnets for this.
I have almost no desire to be active here at all. This miserable slowness of the website is a nogo for me.
I don't think the problem is on my side, because no matter where I access the website from, it always runs sluggishly. It doesn't get any better with VPN either.
I don't care if other people say: the page is going well for me. What matters is that it's going very badly for me. It feels to me like I'm surfing with a 28.6 modem.
Sometimes you just have to slam a door. I think that time has come for me.
It was never my intention to make money here. If a platform doesn't run properly, then you have to go.
What disgusts me even more than the bad technical performance is the injustice of how the great curators act here. It's a huge shame! Only the same circles are served over and over again. Nobody thinks of the little Accounts and beginners!

Sounds bad, especially since from my point of view you are part of Steemit, at least that's how I've felt for years. Despite the harsh text, I have the faint hope that this post prepares us for a time out, but not a "goodbye forever".
I've criticized that before. This platform is not for someone who thinks about justice in any way. I didn't like it from the start and that's why I've had a stomach ache for a long time. Just look at what the Koreans are doing. This is not systemically forbidden, but highly unethical. The Steemit accouts throw their upvotes almost exclusively in some children's contest. The shitty performance, even if it only happens twice a week, is now the icing on the cake for me.
hopefully the steemit team can fix it and give justice to all, not only that account that gets a big upvote even though the quality of the post is mediocre
To be honest, I do not think, that this will happen.
I saw a lot of things that needed to be fixed... but wont be done.
The potential is real big - but there is no will to change or improve Steemit.

I hope that things will improve. Also, it seems that the Steem currency is under maintenance, and I can't even transfer my Steem from my Brittex account to my Steemit account.
There is so much to do and to improve.... I´m here about 4 years. And to be honest, it hasn´t really developed.

My friend... You are partly right. People really need to be active in defending themselves and their rights. But general justice is an unattainable dream in the coming centuries. Unfortunately, this is how the world works. The world is ruled by people, and often not very good, they think only about themselves, but not about the world. Das Frontend ist nicht wirklich für Web optimiert. Jetzt aktuell lädt die Page in 6 -8 Sekunden. Wenn es schlecht läuft, was bei mir meistens der Fall ist, dann warte ich 20 -30 Sekunden und noch viel länger auf Steem Keychain

Ich habe das gleiche Problem wie Du.
Seit Tagen dauert es eine Ewigkeit, bis eine Aktion durchgeführt ist.
Allerdings habe ich bei Hive das gleiche Problem.
Dann funktioniert es wieder mal etwas schneller. Aber 70% aller Aktionen dauern ewig!
Und ich habe bei meinem Rechner nichts verändert, was das erklären könnte.
Keine neuen Programme etc.
Allerdings möchte ich Steemit noch nicht aufgeben.
Solltest Du wirklich aufgeben und Power übrig haben, könnte ich noch welche gebrauchen - mieten etc.
Überleg es Dir nochmal.

Ich finde das so schade, dass hier nichts weiter geht.
Anderseits gefällt mir STEEMIT weil die Beiträge quer durch die Bank ohne große Regeln erstellt werden können.
