The Angel falls is a waterfall located in the national park "canaima" in the Bolivar state - Venezuela. It has an approximate height of 979 meters, which makes it the highest waterfall in the world.
It was discovered in 1927 by Félix Cardona Puig and Juan María Mundó Freixas, some European explorers. The indigenous people of the locality called the jump "Kerepakupai Merú." until 1937, when it was named "Angel Falls" after the exploration of the US aviator, Jimmie Angel.

Tourism in this beauty is a great attraction, although a bit expensive and very difficult, due to the area and the tepuis. The best known way to visit the angel falls, is through a plane ride, there are also tours that make expeditions to the national park, other people also do the expedition crossing through the waterways where you can see the Angel Falls.
