The Red-Breasted Nuthatch

The Red-Breasted Nuthatch lives in the coniferous forests of Alaska, Canada and the northeastern/western USA. It can even be observe in northern mexico.

The Nuthatch eat mostly insects in summer and conifer seeds in winter. It often goes in feeders to eat sunflower seeds.

The Red-Breasted Nuthatch is fortunately not in danger and is protected by the 1918 Migratory Bird Treaty Act (signed by Canada and the USA)
