The Tower Bridge of Sacramento

When i arrived in Sacramento, I was amazed by this beautiful golden bridge. The old Sacramento and this bridge were definitely the highlights of California's capital city.

The Tower Bridge opened in 1935 to replace the 1911 M Street Bridge, because of the fast growth of the population of Sacramento. It was the first vertical lift bridge in the California Highway System.

The Tower Bridge was added in the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
