I vote for till a certain limit, my parents have 4 children that have their own income, and we help in anyway we can, I pay for my mother monthly life insurance, about 100usd per month. Sometimes they ask help for other expenses too and I help if its still within my means. Personally, I think we should help family/parents while they are still alive, but at the same time don't neglect our own need too.
