Why Oatmeal in the morning? 💜 Blueberry Overnight Oats in a Jar Recipe
Good day steemit friends and eating lovers.... 💜
.....(I mean... steemit friends=eating lovers, am I right? cause honestly I can't imagine being other way haha).
Me, Myself and I love Food! But in the morning I choose to make quick breakfast since I don't have to much time! That's the first reason WHY you SHOULD have Oatmeal in the Morning.
Quick Breakfast! Nutritious breakfast! Yummylicious breakfast! HEALTHY breakfast! --> cause it is well known that Oatmeal is a great choice to have in the morning. Ofc there are plenty of healthy breakfast alternatives, besides oats (like chia seeds, avocado, eggs, salad, fruits, smoothies, veggies, seeds and nuts etc.)
But this is exactly WHY I choose to have oats in the morning ⁉️❓
- It is rich in fiber.
- Rich in proteins. According to Wikipedia, oat protein is nearly equivalent in quality to soy protein, which World Health Organization research has shown to be equal to meat, milk and egg protein.
- Oats can improve blood sugar control.
- Low in cholesterol and calories. Its daily consumption over weeks lowers LDL and total cholesterol, possibly reducing the risk of heart disease. [wikipedia source]
- They are incredibly nutritious, containing lots of vitamins and mineras.
- Oats contain many powerful antioxidants, including avenanthramides. These compounds may help reduce blood pressure and provide other benefits. [source here]
- They may help relieve constipation, due to its high level of fiber.
- They are gluten-free.
At USDA's website, you can see the nutritional data of the oats. See for yourself how many vitamins and nutrients are packed to this simple yet wonderful cereal.
For me, a hearty bowl of oatmeal is always food for my soul! Comfort food 100%! 💜
Remember this: OATMEAL doesn't have to be boring! Be creative! There are so many ways of making them! I will upload down below some photos of my morning oatmeal, see how different they can be! :p

I'm glad you liked the recipe!
And tell me if you try the recipe and how this worked for you!
Cheers from Romania!
Okay I have to admit something. To make it easier on myself I buy the Quaker oatmeal instant packs when my kids want oatmeal. 😬 I know it’s probably filled with all kinds of processed sugars. These oatmeal bowls look so hearty and yummy. I do want to try it this way. The oatmeal in a jar really looks cool, never had it that way.
Do you eat the whole jar in one serving? Also, is there a certain kind of oatmeal you recommend? I LOVE granola, you can never go wrong with that.
Great post and wonderful photos! Thanks for sharing ~
How delicious does she make it look! That light!!
Yessssss! Yummy! 😋
Thank you ladies! Actually, especially this one WAS really Yummy! MAybe because I was craving for it!
Hey dear @crosheille! It's really easy to make it and I feel its kind of making instant oatmeal as well. Just mixing the oats with milk and leave them in the fridge for tomorrow morning. Plus adding some fruits.... I really encourage you to try making overnigh oats. Search on google/pinterest. IT's FULL of great yummy recipes, get some inspiration and try making some.
Well, Yes. I eat all the portion. Making it so often, I know how much I can eat so I don't usually go wrong with portion sizes.:D
And Idk what to say about what oatmeal I could recommend because there are so many on the market plus you leave in US? (I can't remember for sure), me in Romania. You have different stuff there. But me, I always go with old fashioned oats, whole oats and sometimes quick oats. I don't buy prep oats. Granola is fine, I buy that too. I have it with yoghurt. Yup.
Thank you for stopping by! Cheers and hugs!

Are you finally back in business? :)
Yuhuuu! Try it!
I'm trying to be....you know how it is....:d
Hugs and kisses!
This makes a great meal for van life for sure. I use frozen fruit and put them in my cooler. I make about 4 jars per bag of fruit and they last me a few days. Plus it helps keep my other fruit in the cooler cool, as it is winter right now and I am not using ice. Love these little meals.
Yes it does! Great approach! No matter the method we use, it's important to try eating healthy!
Cheers.
I love your jars, they are so sweet! <3 I'm waiting for my oats to get here tomorrow actually-- I've been craving them and these look delicious! (Now I'm just wishing I could get my hands on some cherries- yum!) =D
Thank you @heart-to-heart! Cherries sound really un-approaching for me hahahha. Unless I want them frozen.
Your meals look insanely good too! and plus, they are healthy! :x:x
