I believe that everything is interconnected!
I have nothing to do with science, but I am confident that God created us as a single whole and everything about us is connected with one goal - to live.
Heart = mind and vice versa, mind = heart.
Therefore, it is not our mind or our heart that makes the decision, but everything together!
