Seasons greetings to all steemians, I'm wishing us a happy week ahead. I want to use this opportunity to thank @mereindia for this beautiful contest to share my experience.

What is shopping?

Shopping is an activity where potential buyers visit stores or shops where what they want to buy are sold. People shop for various reasons:
✅ To get our daily necessities
✅To satisfy our wants
✅To kill anxiety
✅ Just for fun
Shopping can also be a means if exercise, going out of your comfort zone.

Which shopping style do you prefer, online or offline?

I prefer offline shopping because of the bad experiences I've had with online shopping. I'll state my reasons for choosing offline shopping.
✅Like i said earlier, shopping is also a means of exercise especially for people who work from home and hardly go out. This helps them take a break, go out and see nature.
✅ Shopping offline gives you the privilege of comparing prices. For example, you go to a store to get a hair product, and the one you like a little bit above your budget, you could easily check out other ones, compare the prices and choose the one that works for you. If you were shopping online, online vendors do not have the luxury of time to answer all your questions.
✅ Expiration date: Some humans are dishonest, not everyone is truthful. You can order a product online whose expiration date is very close. If you don't finish it on time, the product goes to waste. During offline shopping, you get to check the expiration date of the product, you can also use the bar code to check the originality of the products.
✅ Shopping offline gives you opportunity to check the authenticity of a product, check for spillage, if it has been used or opened before... And other things to make sure you're getting a good product.

You may not get exactly what you ordered for.

Do you have any bitter experience with online or offline purchases?

My experience happened earlier this year. I ordered for a gold infinity necklace from an online store. I sent a picture of what i wanted and she confirmed that she has the exact type.
I placed and order, it arrived the next week.
The necklace was silver meanwhile I order for a gold one.
It also had a butterfly on it, what i ordered had nothing of sort. I was pissed and i reached out to her. She said she couldn't find that exact one. I asked for a refund but i wasn't granted. I decided to wear the necklace backwards. I think i like it better this way. A picture of me wearing the necklace is at the top of this post.
