Incredible India monthly contest of June#1|What do we need to win?.

in Incredible India2 months ago
Introduction

The desire to win is a fundamental aspect of human nature. That’s why we put our all into anything we do, so we can succeed and achieve excellent results. The winning mentality is a motivating factor that pushes us to succeed both in the educational field and in our various professions.

A lot might think winning is all about being at the top of the class, but it’s far more than that. I know you might be curious by now to know more about being a “winner.” Just read to the end and learn a few things. But before continuing further, let me invite @lovelystar, @bossj23, and @entity01.

According to you, what is the definition of a winner?

source

For me, I will say being a winner means conquering every obstacle or challenge that comes your way through hard work, discipline, perseverance, etc. Like I said earlier in the introduction, winning isn't just about being at the top of your class or being the best in your workplace. Winning is also about setting goals, overcoming obstacles, making progress, and learning from failure, even if we don't always come out on top.

To become a winner, which things make the vital part: brain skills or body strength? Justify your answer in each case!

source

Brain skills supersede everything, judging from the witty inventions we enjoy in our world today. Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and most of the global figures we know today are beneficiaries of brainwork.

An illustration I will use to buttress my point is in house building. The person who earns the highest wage is the architect, simply by sitting in his office and using his brain but the hard workers like the mason and laborers earns peanuts at the end of the day.

My pastor always says, “If being rich was by hard work, then people who do all this strenuous work would have been the richest people on earth. But instead, smart workers are the richest people.”

I do have my reservations on this statement because, to become a winner, not everything needs brainwork or skill. The perfect example to illustrate this is the sports category. In order to succeed, we need our body strength. In cases of weight lifting, running a long-distance race, or boxing, it requires body stamina. Your brain won’t do all this for you.

source

But for me, I will say we need both to succeed in all we do because most of these physical activities require certain techniques, and that is where your brainwork comes in. That’s why you see in boxing, most times, the smaller opponent beats the bigger person because of a certain technique they use in their fight.

Describe a few points that can help us to reach our goals.
  • Whatever goal you have in mind to achieve this year, 2024, make sure it is clear, broken down into smaller bits, and spread across the 12 months of the year.

  • Have a plan to achieve each of these goals and apportion a specific time frame you want it done, or else you won’t take it too seriously.

  • Be consistent in whatever you are doing that’s giving you results, no matter how little it is. Use a progress tracker to monitor how well you’re doing each month because that’s the only powerful motivator you have, and be sure to celebrate every win.

  • You don’t expect everything to go your way all the time; that’s why challenges are always there. So embrace them and learn from them. Adjust your plans where necessary. If it becomes too cumbersome for you, involve a friend who can help you out. Remember, “Two good heads are better than one.”

Which things should we follow and should avoid to win in the race of our lifestyle? Describe.
  • Things we should follow:

The saying goes, "He who has life has hope." So no matter what challenges you are going through, make sure you stay healthy and alive by eating well, having enough sleep, and exercising.

Don’t spend unnecessarily, putting yourself under financial pressure. You might get high blood pressure when these loan merchants come for you. So spend what you can afford.

Make healthy relationships with your family and friends. Relationships can open doors of opportunity for you, so don’t mess with them. If someone is younger than you, don’t think you’re too big to learn from them. The world is changing drastically, and most of these younger ones are tech-savvy. So be open-minded to learn from them as well and try to show gratitude.

  • Things we should avoid:

Don’t be a workaholic by multitasking because you are chasing money. You will die before your time and leave the money behind. Remember, the goal is to stay alive. So have quality time and have fun because you only live once (Y.O.L.O.).

Don’t compare yourself to people you see on social media. There is a lot of fake life out there. People only show you what they want you to see, so don’t put much pressure on yourself.
