Retail store is a business that sells needs products both wholesale and retail with transactions as arranged by the merchant itself. The traditional retail business has more traders than modern retail, this is because the retail business is in the midst of people who want their needs to be met. The traditional retail market is divided into two:
- Retail shop selling only basic ingredients
- Retail shop selling basic ingredients and other food items such as vegetables and fish
Many people like to shop, and they will shop for several reasons, such as needs and also just to follow trends. Usually, if it is due to need, we will be able to manage finances well and if it is due to following trends, we will pile up goods for nothing.
There are several reasons why people prefer to shop at retail stores;
- The price is cheaper
- Can bargain
- Can choose goods and ask the merchant the quality of the goods
- There is a discount if you buy a lot of goods
- Friendliness of merchants who will allow exchange of damaged goods after purchase
- Sometimes the items sold in Traditional Retail are more complete
- Round-trip access to traditional retail is closer and safer and more economical
- Can be in debt within a certain time

Tonight I had the opportunity to visit another traditional retail store at my place, Simpang Rangkaya, Bintang Niaga whose address is 3755+6RR, Rangkaya, Kec. Tanah Luas, North Aceh Regency, Aceh 24372. I went out to buy necessities that had run out and I needed them to be used tomorrow morning.

There are various types of goods in large quantities as well as retail. I went with kids and I saw this retail is very wide and this is the first Retail I have come across. I bought several kinds of goods here;

I paid for it and saw that there was a queue there, I also mSeeing the shop owner adding CCTV in every corner and monitoring it, this will add security considering that the retail store is very large. Not only are things cheap, but this retail store has a slide for kids and two cute bunnies. This will make us feel more at home and comfortable, mother is shopping and sister is playing.
For me, shopping at retail is something I usually do, apart from I live in the village, the interior area like where I live does not have modern shopping centers such as malls and supermarkets. I have to travel up to 20 minutes to get to a minimarket and 40 minutes to reach the city at the more modern Shops and Markets.
There are so many retail places that I can visit in the area where I live or it can be said that we always shop at retail to meet household needs and a lot of shopping places here do not have names, only if you have subscribed we will be able to recognize the market that is our subscription.
Disimpang Rangkaya, the biggest traditional retail place where I live, sells all the products and goods we need, both clothing and food. We just need to go to a place that we feel comfortable and please shop there.

This market is located along Jalan Simpang Rangkaya, this market is about 1 Km long including the fruit market, and also fish. These markets are side by side so it is very easy to buy all our needs and all kinds of local vegetables we can get here. And I bought some kitchen necessities here with the types and prices of the items I updated 5 days ago;

This shop is located in front of Jalan Simpang Rangkaya. In this shop we can get all the things we need for our daily life except vegetables fish. There are flour, snacks, eggs, flip flops, soap, ice cream and others. This shop is sold wholesale and retail. They take the opportunity by taking advantage of the situation, as we know that sometimes wholesale stores don't sell retail or retail but prices don't sell wholesale. Well, that's what happens in this traditional retail store, you want to buy retail or wholesale which will be more profitable for you.

On my way to shop at this traditional retail I can say a few reasons and why we should shop here;
- Prosperity of local farmers with agricultural business and with raw materials that are still quality and still fresh
- Support and give appreciation to street vendors and also SMEs for their efforts in improving the economy of the local people and also opening upa job opportunity.
- The place is quite close so it will be very easy for us to arrive and shop at a place like this which has a much cheaper price than those in supermarkets.
I think, I will always find a lot of things when I explore my city with a variety of retail stores that I may not find in other areas because each city has its own retail market with its own advantages.

The Traditional Retail View emphasizes and simplifies its management which focuses on consumer wants and meeting consumer needs;
- There is a bidding process.
- The location chosen and its conditions are not a special consideration.
- The facilities used are basic facilities
- *The stock of managed goods is not controlled and is usually in accordance with the needs of the community at that time.
- There is no payment by credit or transfer, but payment is made in cash
- There is no bill written in the name and price of the goods purchased and the quality of the goods is not guaranteed.
- Promotions carried out thanks to good relationships with consumers
This is a small part of the traditional retail paradigm, and it is in contrast to more modern retail.
