RE: Campus Connect Engagement League week 1- Effects of Asuu strike on students in Nigeria

in CampusConnect3 years ago

Y'know, it's funny when I see people who are so hopeful about the strike ending in May, and I just laugh, because it's obvious they don't know the state of things in our country.
It's really gotten so bad that even religious leaders had to talk. The Sheikh that spoke last week was temporarily suspended and Pastor E.A. Adeboye has spoken on the issues facing the country just two days ago, being Sunday.

This country is on the brink of destruction to be honest, and the Nigerian government doesn't care about the education of it's citizens, so I'm sure even tho Buhari is well aware of the strike, it's the last thing on his mind, especially with the upcoming 2023 election.

I'm a medical student in my 5th year. Lucky for us, our clinical postings are still ongoing and we have the option of online classes, but till when? Only God knows, seeing as our lecturers have not been paid for months on end.

The strike won't end soon. Or to be more precise, it would take a miracle for the strike to come to an end in May.

And as for what the authorities can do?
Well... I really don't want to raise my hopes too high😪😪👨🏾‍🦯
