COLONIALISM AND IT'S EFFECT/IMPACT IN AFRICA.

introduction:

In Africa history it has always been incomplete without the remembering the era of colonialism and it's effects and impact to the African society.

what is colonialism?

Colonialism in a simple context means a total domination or been in charge of a certain geographical area in the basis of state of power by a foreign hand .
EXAMPLE: COLONIALISM of British government in Nigeria and Ghana.
Colonialism actually began as a result of change in the mode of production in Europe...... Actually that's not the point tho. ..they are many reasons which resulted to colonialism especially in Africa.

REASONS FOR THE COLONIZATION OF AFRICA.

History book of the day has made us understand that colonization in Africa didn't start like a time bomb though it all started as one particular factors Which was the emergence of industrial revolution that brought a huge change in the socioeconomic transformation and technology of European countries.
This lead to high level of production which in the process went faster progress in agriculture, this made it hard and difficult for agriculture to satisfy demand of raw -materials required by industries.so allthis brought. Aneed for Europeans especially Britain to go outside it's territory to look for additional raw material, which some rural areas in Britain found it difficult to produce enough food to feed the urban population .with this high level of difficulty of food /raw material the European had to rethink by planning a journey into Africa for search of raw-material and man power to reducing the difficulty of lack of food and raw material in Europe .
When they arrived Africa the Europeans who ca had to take charge of African economy and political administration which was for particular reason that was for them to produce the type of food requested by their industrial workers back home,as I stated earlier that the particular reason for colonization of Africa as we know is that the European required additional food supply and raw Material/man power requested by the fast increasing urban population as result of the so called industrial revolution, which it came as result of decline of agricultural product in in Europe through direct control of Africa economic/political administration and as well religion .. which brought about full blown colonialism as stated by its definition of colonization though they are some impact of colonization in Africa which I will say wasn't really much as been noted in the history books.

IMPACT/EFFECTS OF COLONIZATION IN AFRICA.

Colonization in Africa had its few impacts to Africa though it actually brought about the reduction of under development of Africa territories in many ways which in the process, brought about western education and civilization to the shores of Africa. Actually Africa had its high level of civilization which suited them even before the coming of they Europeans.
Also there was disarticulation in types of goods produced by Africans, colonialists compelled African to concentrate in the product of goods meant for export which actually made Africans to abandon the production of food item required to feed the indigenous population of African communities.
Lastly colonization also brought about the abandon and demonization of African culture and it's religion which messed up the way of life of indigenous population of Africans and has made them have a very bad ideology on everything belonging to Africa.
Al the same we give thanks to the almighty for opening the eyes of Some Africans in understanding the importance of their culture and heritage.
