Hello everyone, I am Onyemere Victor, a student of MICHEAL OKPARA UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE, UMUDIKE(MOUAU).
I gained admission into the prestigious University in 2018 to pursue a degree in AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING.

MOUAU is located in the south-eastern part of Nigeria in Umuahia, Abia State.

MOUAU is one of the three federal universities of agriculture that have been given the task of making agriculture better and more efficient.

MICHEAL OKPARA UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE, UMUDIKE was established in 1992 by the federal government of Nigeria to help boost agricultural productivity in the country. Since the inception of the institution, it has helped seriously in the agricultural sector of the economy by the numerous research activities going on in the institution.

MOUAU is home to the NATIONAL ROOT CROP RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF NIGERIA(NRCRI), which is the major source of materials for planting root crops in Nigeria.

MOUAU currently has 8 colleges, CEET, CNREM, CASAP,CCSS, COLMAS, COLPAS,CAFST, and COED.

CEET: CEET stands for College of Engineering and Engineering Technology. The college was built so supplement other colleges because mechanized and modern agriculture cannot exist without engineering. The college comprises of Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Elecrtonics Engineering.

CNREM: College of Natural Resources and Environmental Management. The college comprises of Fishery and Aquatic Resource Management and Environmental Management Technology.

CASAP: College of Animal Science and Animal Production. The college comprises of the following departments: Animal science and animal nutrition, Agricultural extension, and rural sociology.

CCSS: College of Crop and Soil Science. This college has the following departments: Agronomy, Plant science, and biotechnology, and Soil science.
COLMAS: College of Management Science. It comprises of the following departments: Agricultural Business, Economics,
Agricultural Economics etc.

COLPAS: College of Physical and Applied sciences. It comprises Industrial Chemistry, Applied mathematics, Physics, Computer science, and Statistics.

CAFST: College of Applied Food Science and Tourism, this college comprises Food Science and Technology, Human Nutrition and dietetics, Hotel Management and tourism.

COED: College of Education, this college comprises Home economics and education, Biology education, Mathematics Education, Biology Education, Physics Education, Chemistry education...etc.

COLNAS: College of Natural Sciences. It comprises Microbiology, Biochemistry, Zoology, and Environmental Biology.

The above are some of the courses offered at the university, but as time keeps going, I believe that we will grow more to make agriculture better in both Nigeria and the whole world.
