Poll Proposals

I suggest that as a community standard, we adopt this format for "Poll Proposals" as demonstrated by @thecryptodrive.

See: https://steemproposals.com/proposal/53

Definition of a Poll Proposal:

  1. Payment Recipient: @steem.dao
  2. Daily Payment Amount: 1.000 SBD

The above example is 1 SBD per day for 119 days, thus 119 SBD total. But the recipient is @steem.dao so it does not affect the SPS balance.

It's great because we don't need to worry about a hardfork in order to implement. All we need is for each proposal explorer (like steemproposals.com, steempeak.com, steemitwallet.com, and even @proposalalert) to interpret these proposals as polls and present them as such.

Sort:

Steemit is so cheep right now, I upvoted this and your payout balance went down...😆😅😵

yeah, although i haven't voted for that proposal but i thought of it as a great idea to hold a community driven poll.

Yeah, I don't personally care for the example. It might be cool if someone created the exact opposite:

"HF Proposal: Vote NOT to Reduce Power Down Period to 4 Weeks"
😁

indeed!

Thats actually a good idea. More thoughts need to go into using it for petitions since the only option is 'yes'.
The objective standard now may be to beat the return proposal. But the return proposal doesn't exist to set the standard for popular support on petitions.

Not bad, also more like petitions? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Yeah, you could say that. Some people think it'd even work as a pre-proposal poll for a real future proposal. I like that idea too.

Thanks for pushing for this to be a voting standard @inertia, it means alot.
