Olive oil, avocado and walnut oil are examples of good fats. These fats contain a type of fatty acid that promotes heart health and supports the immune system. A strong immune system boosts muscle growth and saturated fat helps produce testosterone.
3. How important is pre-workout nutrition?
Eating before exercise is important for muscle growth. This prevents the muscle tissue from tearing. You should eat a full meal with fluids before exercising. The protein-to-carbohydrate ratio should be one to two in a meal eaten two hours before exercise.
