Rabbit farming is the rearing of rabbits as livestock. It is very easy and convenient to practice since it does not require any special training. Rabbits are raised and kept for various purposes. Many farmers rear them for meat whiles others keep them as pets, but for scientist, rabbits are important laboratory animal for research purposes such as nutritional studies and for testing new medical products. Another reason for keeping rabbits is for their wool or fur which is needed in the production of different types of clothings.
I have started rearing rabbits at my backyard garden. Monitoring and feeding of the rabbits is easy for me since rabbits can be fed with wide range of plants including cereals , crops ,grasses and waste skin of vegetables from the kitchen.
The female rabbit called "doe" can breed about 5-6 months average of age. Pregnancy period of rabbits is 31 days and the doe can produce 1-10 young ones each time it gives birth.
Rabbits are fast growing as compared to other animals. The rearing of rabbit is cost effective and it requires less labour as compared to other farm animals.

I think with Rabbits the only problem people ever face with them is keeping them alive. I have some friends who bought Rabbits and the rabbits didn't last up to one month.
I cant best tell if the Rabbits had an illness or it was because of the change in environment.
So how do you plan on taking care of yours buddy, could you share so that when we also buy our we can be careful next time?
Life cycle of rabbits is about eight (8) years especially those reared domestically. In order to achieve this, you need to provide them with good food, water and shelter.

Your rabbit looks good. It s true, rearing of rabbit is a bit easy because of the availability of their food suh as cereals and grasses.
