SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 23
Today I will be participating in the Steem fashion contest.
Looking back, I will say there are a whole lot of pictures that hold a special place in my life which I don't even want to joke with. Among all the pictures I have on my list, I will be sharing one today that holds special place in my life and that is my convocation picture.
This particular picture you see over there have a very special place in my life because it was my convocation day, a day I was celebrating 5 good years of my hardwork, commitment and patience. 5 good years of learning and learning without not getting tired.
There were days I will have sleepless nights and which I can't even describe it. That particular day, holding my certificate knowing fully well I am now a graduate of Civil and Environmental Engineering from the university of Kwara State University.
Of course it was worth celebrating. I went to the photo studio for the first time in my life to celebrate it and I must confess that I feel pride of myself. Looking how far I have comed. I started 2019 and now I am in 2024, a graduate. Of course there were ups and down along the journey but I did not let it affect me. I kept going.
There were days I wanted to give up. There were days I even wanted to say I am no more going to school. There were days of financial hardship, academic crises and even health challenges, but I didn't let that affect me at all. I kept going and of course that is due to the support of people around me most especially my parents.
Taking that picture, I feel a deep sense of Fulfilment knowing fully well how far I have come and how I was actually able to achieve my goals. Of course not everyone was able to boast that they achieved their goal.
That green gown hanging behind is a sign of my institution that I was able to turn my dream to reality. As you can see, that white hat or should I say helmet represent the civil engineering. Years to come, it will still be a memorable meeting for me and I will keep it going. Of course it was not easy but I was able to push it through. Years to come, this picture will still stay with me and will show that anything is possible as you can turn your dream to reality if you are determined no matter how it might be.
