SFS Contest Picture of the Day

A picture is worth more than a thousand words, and indeed, every picture tells a story.
Mo matter how a picture is captured wether in a right or wrong direction, it must definitely have stories or emotions to convey.
As a lover of art and creativity, I saw this contest organised by @ashkhan, and I decided to drop my entry.

All my life, I have lived in a military base, and we have certain rules and traditions that govern us, which we normally do every year.
An even known as the Nigerian Army day celebration a day that is commemorate for those who are serving in the Nigerian Army and also those who have lost their lives in battle while protecting their country

When you go to their general hospital, you will see soldiers that are amputated, sole have one eye and most of their body part are not complete and some have become deaf due to their engagement in war with the enemies.

Each time I remember this scenario, tears rush down my eyes because it is so pathetic that I feel for the family of those who are affected by this incident.

On this special day, we all gather together as a community to give thanks to God for his constant guidance and protection towards the life of our soldiers, and we will all be in our church to do service and commemorate this special day.
On this day, all the soldiers will dress on their uniforms, and other organisations will also put on their uniforms to celebrate the birthday of the Nigerian Army.

This year's celebration was unique, and we all gathered and sang praise to God almighty. It was a really joyful event that made me happy.
I had the time of my life because after the celebration they was a good refreshments for everyone and we all ate to our satisfaction, growing up inside the military is a privilege for me because I am well discipline and have learnt a lot form the soldiers.

This is a wonderful picture of me and my family on the first day of January which was celebrated as new year, it bus a joy of everyone to see the beginning of the year alive, strong and healthy with your family members.
We all went to church to give praise to God for making us to see the new year 2024 and after mass we decided to capture this beautiful moments together because it us not easy to see the new year.

We started the year with some people and they were no where to be found, so for us to see the beginning of the year is more than enough reason for us to be joyful

Myself I was very happy because last year was really tougher for me and I really learnt from my experience, and seeing this new year and beginning it as a steeminan made my day memorable and enjoyable.
We all went home and ate and drank to our satisfaction and we the children we were given freedoms to go to wherever we want to go and I enjoy my life to the fullest that day.

This picture have a special moment in my life because it reminds me for a football match that we played, honestly speaking it was really memorable and joyful because I had the time of my life on that day.
It was a competition that was organised by our commanding officer in our barracks, and as the host, it is important for us to go far in the tournament.

I scored a goal and provided the assist for the winning goal and my name was sang all over our area, which make this picture special to me

I am the captain of my team and I did my best to make sure that we go far in the tournament, though our first game was horrible but we bounce back and played good football that took us to the finals of the competition.
We went to the final of the competition and we come of victorious and we all were overwhelmed with immense joy.
