Renewable energy or fossil fuel.
Which energy source is more beneficial for the environment?
Before we proceed lets understand what renewable energy and fossil fuel are;
•Renewable Energy:Renewable energy is energy gotten from natural sources that are replenished at a higher rate than they are consumed and they are sustainable more to fossil fuels for example, Sunlight and wind are such sources that are constantly being replenished. This energy is all around us and its include wind power, solar power, hydroelectric power and geothermal energy.
• Fossil Fuel: Fossil fuels are oil and natural gas that are drilled or mined before being burned to produce electricity, or refined for use as fuel. Fossil fuels produce large quantities of carbon dioxide when burned.And they include coal, petroleum, natural gas, oil shales, bitumens, tar sands, and heavy oils.
So in my opinion renewable energy sources is more beneficial for the environment than the fossil fuels source because the positive part outweighs the negative. Renewable energy sources can offer cleaner energy solutions than those provided by nonrenewable resources such as coal and fossil fuels.
The Advantages of renewable energy source.
Renewable energy has numerous advantages over fossil fuels here are some of the merits of using an this energy source:
• You don't have to pay to refuel when you’re using a renewable technology that generates power from the sun, wind, steam, or natural processes. You will save money using renewable energy although it depends on several factors, including the technology itself
• It has numerous environmental benefits more to fossil fuels. With renewable energy, it helps decrease these pollutants' prevalence and contributing to a healthier atmosphere unlike fossil fuel that generates greenhouse gases and other harmful pollutants that leads to chronic health issues to the respiratory and the body. So this energy leads to lower greenhouse gas emissions or pollution to the environment.
• Renewable energy promotes cleaner air and good health burnong of fossil fuels to generate electricity with power plants contaminates the air and water we use. E.g when you on a power plants it releases high volumes of carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and could be harmful to the body developing health problems. So Investing in renewable energy is a awesome and peaceful way to work against these risks, as renewables have a far lower negative impact on our air and health.
• They quickly respond to climate change which can be replenished quickly oveetime and sustainable for use.
The Disadvantages of renewable energy source.
The demerits of renewable energy are quite slim and maybe considered with less impact which includes:
• Availability: The disadvantage of renewable resources is that they may not be available for use when needed and the ability to collect and use solar energy is limited at a certain period of time and when the sky is overcast.
• Weather: Unpredictable weather events can hinder these technologies for use, and the amount of energy we can get from renewable power sources can be inconsistent. So droughts/heavy downpours are also barriers to renewables.
• Cost: This energy source are usually higher in cost and more expensive depending on the large scale of production operating with it.
