In your opinion, does everyone have an equal chance to succeed in standardized tests? Why is that?

During my school years and according to my experience when taking exams at school, everyone should have an equal chance to succeed in standardized tests, as long as the person is willing to study seriously about the material that will be taken in the exam.

Because actually, it can be simply assumed that children will be assessed based on their abilities when they fill in one by one the questions they take in the exam correctly, it all depends on the children themselves.

In your opinion, how does a student's background or environment affect their exam scores?

A student's background and environment greatly influence their exam scores in school, because students who live in a good place with the right environment, they will definitely be smarter and better at solving their exam questions because the lifestyle in their environment continues to emphasize learning.

However, students who live in an environment with people who don't like to study and prefer to play, it is certain that the child will fail his exam because he can never solve his exam questions because he doesn't study.

In addition to succeeding in school exams, background and environment also greatly influence a person's success in life.

Are there other ways to measure intelligence besides standardized tests? What are they?

There are many other ways to measure student intelligence besides standardized tests, one of which is that children can be isolated into a group of new friends that they have never known before.

The children who are the smartest in socializing and adapting to their new environment are the smartest children, because the intelligence that everyone must have is not only about being able to answer questions, but also being able to adapt to various types of environments that they face.

Do you believe that anxiety in facing exams can affect student performance? How?

Yes, I strongly believe, anxiety when wanting to take an exam will greatly affect student performance in taking the exam, because with excessive anxiety a person can forget many things that they have learned before.

And anxiety during exams also often occurs for students who have weak mental conditions and are introverts.

Can intelligence be defined in a different way, and how is it related to standardized testing?

Yes, intelligence can be defined in different ways, because everyone must have their own strengths and weaknesses, if someone's intelligence must be defined only by standardized tests, then there will be many creative and genius children who look stupid just because they can't answer the questions given on the standardized test well.

This is my entry for the Contest: The Debate (Week 48); IS STANDARDIZED TESTING A FAIR MEASURE OF INTELLIGENCE? which is organized by @sahmie, I also want to invite @dekki, @adi.syahreza and also @max-pro to participate together in this contest.
