SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 18

There is a proverb in our country that pictures speak. It means that a picture gets more acceptance than an article can convey. I got clear proof of it when I went to Panam city of Sonargaon in Narayanganj district which is far from Dhaka.
Panama City is a historical city. It was probably born around 1300 AD. At that time Sonargaon was the capital of this area. This Panam city was the residence of the noble families of that time. I went on a trip to this Panam city with my two other Steamian friends. I have read the history of this city from books before. Today, I was repeatedly amazed by seeing the environment here with my own eyes.

Every building in this city has been built in a very orderly manner. Everything that a city needs is there in this city. From mosques, and temples to courthouses, cashiers, and wells, everything is there. But today all are history. No people live here today. The city is used as a tourist city under the Archaeological Department.
The architecture of this city has a touch of innovation. If this city was built in the 1300s, then all the modern items were used. It is said that the people of this city were very tasteful and financially well off. I visited the various buildings of this city and saw his shadow. Now the craftsmanship of the buildings is very beautiful. Even after falling over the years, traces of that craftsmanship can still be found.

Although it was once a very glittering city. But now everything is a witness of history. Almost all the buildings are built up to the third floor. Over time, many of the buildings have collapsed in many places. Many buildings have been declared as endangered by the archeology department. Still, the scenic views here are worth seeing. A large number of visitors throng here every day. Looking at the architecture of this city, they appreciate the taste of the people here.

Every street, every brick, every tunnel of this dilapidated city has an unknown story. There are many stories of happy moments, there are many stories of unknown tears, and even today Panam City is standing in front of us like a royal witness.

It is as if we are explaining to our visitors what history is. Maybe he wants to tell us the story of his chest full of sorrow when he sees us in his eyes. I don't know the sad story. But seeing the structure of Panam City that is standing in front of me today, the emotions of thousands of visitors like me come. I want to know why such a beautiful city has become a witness of history today. Today I presented some pictures of that place to my steemian friends through this context.
