At what age did you learn a skill? If you answered yes, share your experience. If no, state your reasons.

I started playing piano when I was six, although it is not evident from the pictures I take now. I had a very good experience, I had the natural curiosity of the child to explore and try the talent and added to that there was no discouragement from anyone and this gave me the extra push I wanted. My parents identified it and without any much thinking they took me through the piano classes; not only did it improve my musical abilities it also built up my discipline and responsibility.

This is because I can say that some of the circumstances that enhanced my childhood also helped to develop some of these talents we have. But this may not apply to everyone since people are in different positions and not everyone wants a particular skill to have it at a tender age. There are barriers which are lack of resources, support and motivation and therefore some people cannot develop skills at an early age. As such when this occurs, the goal should be to educate the child and nurture their growth towards being scholars without overburdening them.
