The Debate (Week 50); Who has an easier life, Male or Female?
Hello 🤗 guys, I welcome you all to my blog today. Today, I want to join the contest with the title Who has an easier life, Male or Female? This contest was organized by the @sahmie.
Do you think men and women face different challenges in their daily lives? What are some examples? |
---|
Indeed both men and women face different challenges in life especially in this part of the world (Nigeria, Africa). Here men are seen as the sole head of the families hence the provision of whatever is needed in the family is the sole responsibility of the man.
The woman on the other hand has the sole responsibility of taking care of the home and the children as well as preparing food for the entire family.
So the challenges of men in this part of the world is to ensure that they cater for the well being of their families whereas in the case of the ladies they are to keep the home moving by caring for their and also ensuring that they make the home conducive for the man.
So getting money to feed the family is one of the challenges of the man and for the woman caring for their home is their sole responsibility or challenge. So with these you will agree with me that in this part of the world the challenges varies.
In your opinion, do men have more freedom in their choices compared to women? Why or why not? |
---|
Yes in the African continent as I have explained initially men are the head of the family and that means that they are incharge and have complete control over their families. Here men take many decisions without even discussing with their wives because they believe women may be hindrances to what they tend to do
So they make decisions without consultation, the case of the women is different since they are staying under the men they must always take permission from the men before they can do anything. If the many for any reason refuse to approve they have no option than to forget the issues.
This is why I say men have more freedome than the women in this part of the world. Women here are completely submissive to their husband.
Are there areas where you think women have an advantage over men? What might those be? |
---|
One of the areas I think women have more advantages over men is the area of depending completely on the man for provision. Here in Africa, even if the woman is working the money she earn is her own but what the man warn is for the family. This means that women can use their money for their own things but the man's money must be used to keep the family going.
So the women have the advantage of using their earn money to do the things they want and also to build their own empire and support their parents whereas they man must always care for his family first before thinking of his parents.
What role do family responsibilities play in the lives of men and women? Is one gender expected to do more? |
---|
Men and women alike have different responsibility as I have earlier discussed in question 1. Yes the men have more responsibility in a family and that is ensuing that they provide for the family in every aspect.
A womans duty is to ensure she keeps her home going and that can e done by always caring for the children and ensuring that there is food and the house is clean. So how the children go to school, where they food comes from and many more comes from the man and that is why I consider men having more responsibilities.
In conclusion, who do you think personally to have an easier life and why? |
---|
Women have a more easy life than the men and the reason is because of the explanations I have given from the very beginning of this post and though out the post. Women don't have to struggle for things in life as they will always have a man who has done the struggle only for them to come and have fun and enjoy with him.
Women in this part always believed that men have the sole responsibility of provision which is the hardest part of being in relationships. So women are just there to consume what you have worked for as a man. I said earlier that what you have is meant for the family but what the woman has is meant for her and she can use it they way she wants.
Finally, I wish to invite my friends @dove11, @solaymann, and @josepha to also join this contest today and share their own opinions about this wonderful topic.
Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.
siendo así, puedo ver que la cultura del africano es sumamente machista;
Thanks for your valuable comments, gender equality is a big issue in Africa and I hope we will get over that soon.
