SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 15

This picture is just a proof of how far I've come, it was taken using my friend's device during one of our practical. It was our first practical using clinical samples and we were scared. Our lecturer really emphasized on the use of hand gloves and face mask.

We waited for the sample to arrive from Teaching Hospital, we were a bit excited and a bit scared because of how carefulness was emphasized, the sanoles were infected urine samples from infected patients and thet were highly infectious and could affect us.
Before the practical begun, the lecturer instructed us to use antiseptic to clean our work space which we did and pick a group leader to touch the sample as not everyone will be allowed to touch it since it's risky and it's our first time.

The practical lasted so long and it was an interesting one, filled with excitement as almost everyone was seen taking pictures at one point or the other,I was so tired and exhausted,we were told to go and wash our hands under running water for like one minute before using soap and finally sanitizing our hands. We were also to report the next day to check it out and write our observations.

The picture hold a lot of positive memories because I'm in my 300 level and soon leaving for my IT to practice what I've learnt and it all started from being a small girl with big dreams. I'm really looking forward to learning more and getting perfect in my field of study during my IT, which is a six month journey.

I'm so proud of myself and I'm grateful to God for grace to keep going despite all odds.
