Heute geht es weiter mit dem 2 Teil meines Goldwäschetreffens. Wer den ersten Teil noch nicht kennt, hier der Link dazu!

Aber nun wie versprochen gehts weiter.
Am Schürftag kamen wir gegen 9 Uhr am Bach an, jeder ging zu seinem Platz vom Vortag und legte seine Rinne ins Wasser. Einige mussten einen kleinen Damm bauen, um genügend Strömung in der Rinne zu haben. Ich konnte sofort mit dem Schaufeln beginnen. Wir hatten wirklich Glück mit dem Wetter. Sonne pur. Wir trafen uns immer wieder in kleinen Gruppen zum Grillen und zum Plaudern. Irgendwann rief Ronny auf einmal um Hilfe, weil seine Waschrinne von der Strömung mitgerissen wurde. Wir haben dann fast alle erst einmal nach der Rinne gesucht. Nach einigem Suchen konnten wir sie dann aber doch noch entdecken. Sie war zwischen 2 Steinen eingeklemmt. Ich beschloss trotzdem, dass ich sie wieder holen wollte. Und so ging ich in die Strömung.

Bis zur Rinne ging alles gut, aber als ich sie hochheben wollte, drehte sie sich und wir wurden beide von der Strömung mitgerissen. Meine Wathose war in Sekundenschnelle voll Wasser, sodass ich nicht mehr alleine aufstehen konnte. Wenn mich meine Erinnerung nicht trügt, wurde ich gut 20 Meter mitgerissen, bevor ich wieder im ruhigen Wasser auftauchte. Dort wurde ich dann von einigen aus dem Wasser gezogen. Mann war das kalt. Gott sei Dank ist nichts Schlimmeres passiert, an dem Tag war ich wirklich unvorsichtig, was normalerweise nicht mein Ding ist. Aber es ist passiert. Nachdem ich aus dem Wasser raus war, musste ich schnell aus meinen nassen Klamotten, damit mir keine Erkältung zuzog. Ich habe mich kurz umgezogen und trocken gemacht und dann noch 2 Stunden weiter gewachsen, bis auch die letzten zum Platz gegangen sind.

Dort haben wir wieder in gemütlichen Runden den Tag Revue passieren lassen und haben alle lecker gegessen. Alle waren gut gelaunt und desto später es wurde, desto feuchtfröhlicher wurde es. Erst wieder gegen 3 hab 4 Uhr, gingen die ersten schlafen. Ich hörte dazu.

Am nächsten Tag bauten wir alles ab, verabschiedeten uns von den meisten. Nur Ronny wollte den Tag noch mit uns verbringen. Also sind wir noch einmal losgezogen, um die Gegend für das nächste Mal ein wenig zu erkunden. Wir gingen einen Bachlauf hinauf, aber wir konnten keinen Goldnachweis erbringen. Dann sagte Ronny, ob wir nicht mit ihm nach Wolfsberg kommen wollten und dort zu schürfen. Das taten wir dann auch. Nach 1 Stunde waren wir bei Ronny und konnten dort 2 Stunden lang gemeinsam schürfen. Das Gold aus dem Flussabschnitt war sehr interessant. Es hatte eine tolle Struktur. Leider hatten wir nur die 2 Stunden, weil wir noch eine lange Rückfahrt vor uns hatten. Nachdem wir uns verabschiedet und vereinbart hatten, uns wiederzutreffen, fuhren Fernando und ich zurück nach Hause. Ich konnte die ganze Rückfahrt über fahren, sodass wir ohne größere Probleme durchkamen. Ich ließ ihn in Köln raus und fuhr dann die halbe Stunde zu mir nach Hause.
Es war eine tolle Tour und hat viel Spaß gemacht und ich freue mich schon auf die nächste.

But now as promised we continue.
On the prospecting day we arrived at the creek around 9am, everyone went to their spot from the day before and put their flume in the water. Some had to build a small dam to have enough flow in the channel. I was able to start shoveling right away. We were really lucky with the weather. Pure sun. We kept meeting in small groups to grill and chat. At some point Ronny suddenly called for help, because his wash channel was carried away by the current. Then almost all of us first looked for the channel. After some searching we could discover it then, nevertheless, still. It was stuck between 2 stones. I decided anyway that I wanted to get her again. And so I went into the current.

Everything went well until we got to the channel, but when I tried to lift her up, she turned and we were both swept away by the current. My waders were full of water in seconds, so I couldn't get up on my own. If my memory does not deceive me, I was carried along for a good 20 meters before I resurfaced in the calm water. There I was pulled out of the water by some people. Man was that cold. Thank goodness nothing worse happened, I was really careless that day, which is not normally my thing. But it did happen. After I was out of the water, I had to get out of my wet clothes quickly so I didn't catch a cold. I changed briefly and got dry and then continued to grow for another 2 hours until the last ones left for the course.

There we again reviewed the day in cozy rounds and all ate delicious food. Everyone was in a good mood and the later it got, the more humid it became. Only again against 3 hab 4 o'clock, the first went to sleep. I heard to it.

The next day we dismantled everything, said goodbye to most. Only Ronny wanted to spend the day with us. So we went out again to explore the area a bit for next time. We walked up a creek, but we couldn't find any gold. Then Ronny said if we didn't want to come with him to Wolfsberg and prospect there. So we did. After 1 hour we were at Ronny's place and could dig there together for 2 hours. The gold from the river section was very interesting. It had a great structure. Unfortunately, we only had the 2 hours because we still had a long drive back. After saying our goodbyes and agreeing to meet again, Fernando and I drove back home. I was able to drive the whole way back so we got through without any major problems. I dropped him off in Cologne and then drove the half hour to my house.
It was a great tour and a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to the next one.
