Unforgettable World Cup Match | Contest | World Of Football

Hello football fam,
This is my entry post for an unforgettable football world cup match. There are so many matches who can never be forgotten but the most likely and deserving I have chosen for today is Portugal vs Spain in the world cup 2018. It was a historical night for both the countries as Portugal was recently crowned as the Champions of EURO 2016 beating France and Spain as the Champions of world cup 2010. The spotlight of the game was absolutely Cristiano Ronaldo because he was in his brutal form and Captain of his team.

The match was really intense from its very beginning and Portugal take advantage with its early possession and tried to get into the opponent box and that where the opportunity arises. Ronaldo make a skill show and was able to get in to the oppnents penalty arc where Nacho Monreal playing as a RB of Spain tried to make a tackle on Ronaldo and mistankenly caught the legs of Ronaldo, referee immediately blows the whistle and called for a penalty.

The penalty kick was taken by Ronaldo and obviously it gets into the net as it was put by best penalty taker. This had caused an early step up for Portugal as they are ahead of spain to 1 goal to nill in the 3rd minute of the match.

After an early goal Spain started to utilize it's all resources together to get back to the track. They started to attack Portugal goal but not able to equalise due to heavy defending by PEPE. In the 23rd minute Diego Costa controlled the ball knocking Pepe out and then beating two defenders by his one shot and get the ball to the back of net.

Costa's goal help Spain to regain their confidence and to play game with more heart and hope. In the 26th minute of the play Isco Alarcon from spain took a straight shot to goal which directly hit the lower side of the pole of goal post and goes straightly downward but the ball didn't get into the goal because when it was checked by VAR it was on the line of goal which means the goal didn't stand.
Then in the 44rth minute of the play Cristiano Ronaldo took a low shot from his left foot which directly went into David De gea hands but at that time Degea did a grevious mistake by loosing the ball and thus ball took a slight deflection and took a leap into Spain's goal post. Hence the brace of Ronaldo was completed and Portugal was again in front by 2-1.

The first half of the play ended with Portugal in front with one goal.
As soon as the second half started Spain seems as more willing and more attacking. In the 53rd minute Spain was awarded a free kick which was taken by David Silva who directly put it towards the head of Sergio Busquits. Sergio neatly took the head and assisted to Diego Costa who was at the front of goal post waiting for the ball to arrive and without wasting any moment he put it into the goal and produced an equaliser, hence the match reversed back to its position of stability at both ends.

Now both teams were looking to score a winner so that they can seal off the game and just after the very moments of Spain's second goal. In the 58th minute when ball took a slight deflection in the Portugal's penalty arc and goes towards the left of goal post where Nacho Monreal was waiting for it to come and BANG! he scored an enormous volley to the other end of goal resulting in the 3rd goal of Spain and they are ahead on score sheet for the first time since the start of the game.

The game remains in the hand of Spain and everyone thought that this might be the end and Spain won it but the game can never be decisive until the whistle when the GOAT is playing on the pitch and somehow managed to do unthinkable. In the 87th minute of play Portugal was awarded a free kick near the goalpost of Spain and it was taken by Cristiano Ronaldo who put it directly into the goal and the keeper didn't even get a chance to stop it.

After the stunning goal of Cristiano Ronaldo the scoreline again equalised as 3-3 and Cristiano Ronaldo grab a astonishing hattrick to his name. The score remains same until the last whistle of the game blows up by referee.

As we can see in the stats that the possession of the game was owned by Spain by ut didn't let them to stop the counter of Portugal and match was ended as a draw.
