Making an accurate assessment of the penalty decision in football can be challenging for the referee. Even with the help of the VAR the decisions made by some of the referees have been questionable. How do we think we can overcome this?

In my view, there will never be a perfect referees decision on what constitutes a clear penalty. I think sentiment always plays a part. There's no doubt that technology will help and has helped in aiding the referee in his assessment .
However, I think that regular vision checks, physical well being and psychological tests should be done on the referees on a regular basics, to determine and ascertain their general well being. Additionally, new technologies should be invented that can calculate or measure the degree of contact/impact on the 18 box. Like the Infrared that is used in goal line technology. That been said, the referee need to way all these options, before before awarding a penalty.
That would be quite an innovation to this great sport. Thanks.

In my opinion, not all contacts in the box should be ruled as penalties. Some are just too obvious on the replay, c'mon. The player deliberately gets himself/herself in the way obviously seeking a penalty in most cases but such situations cannot be helped but happen.
The only best way out of this in my opinion is for referees to trust their intuition in such decision-making. VAR will rule and contact as a penalty but sometimes once guts say otherwise. Most often, such decisions are valid and I believe referees should stand with their intuition no matter what because they are given the authority to do so.
Referees instincts are always paramount. Thank you.
The introduction of VAR has brought many controversies but to me I think the only way we can overcome to get the best way for referees to get accurate results firstly I think we should let experience referees with good communication skills officiate matches(when a good referee have good communication skills he can communicate with other officials before any decision is made because VAR doesn’t give accurate decisions sometimes) and after that I they have to use their own instinct because mostly things we use with our own instincts turns out to be right.
Lastly, referees should spend time when there’s contact in the 18 yard box and shouldn’t be quick to make decisions all because quick decision is a quality of a good referee.

The best method for an accurate penalty awarding is for the centre referee to be visiting the pitch-side monitor when the need arises. Introduction of the VAR isn't enough, the centre referee should have the final say by going to view the incident himself through the pitch-side monitor

This is one of the difficult questions to answer in football, but to the best of my knowledge and how I want the game of football to be flowing, I think the best way to get these accurate decision is to allow the referees to make those decisions without interference.
The rule on penalty States that;
The reason behind my saying is from this rule because if a direct free kick on the field of play (apart from the 18yard box) can be awarded by the referee without interference like the VAR. Then why should the 18yard box free kick be decided by referring to the VAR? To me i base on this to conclude that the accurate penalty decision can be decided be the referee if there is no interference like the VAR.
Although sometimes humans may make mistakes, I still believe those mistakes are better than machine mistakes like those VAR makes.

En mi opinión, obviamente que con el VAR los árbitros salen de duda. Pero precisa sin revisar el VAR, es estar cerca de la jugada y de la pelota y cualquier duda comunicarse con el juez de línea que es el que siempre esta pendiente de cada jugada
