The number of posts was pretty high yesterday. The reason is that some users are automatically editing all their older posts with a message that they moved to Hive. An 'edit' is basically recorded as a new post on the blockchain. I have no way to make a distinction between a new post and an edit of an older post. Hence the high number of posts yesterday.
More and more activity on the Steem blockchain is being done by bots. Real users have moved to Hive. If you haven't moved to Hive yet, you can simply login on https://hive.blog using the same login credidentials as on Steemit.

3. Daily accounts transacting
A 'transacting account' is a Steem account that made at least one transaction on the Steem blockchain. This can be a vote, post, comment, transfer, power up or SBD conversion. Users who only read from the Steem blockchain without interacting are not included. The actual number of 'Active users' is therefore much higher than the accounts transacting.

Great statistics!
Cool to watch the transition. :-)
Hi there
I've been reading through many comments related to new hive chain and I've seen your comment too. Many users are being torn, however majority seem to be moving to new hive.
Are you fully moving there or will you stay on both chains? Just curious. I'm trying to figure out what to do myself.
Hey @creativeblue,
I have been very involved for the past couple months, watching everything... close to full time. My observations have led me to little hope for Steem, although I wanted us to overtake and save the main chain. In my mind, Hive is now the "real Steem" and Steem is free to take its opposing path, wherever that may lead, if anywhere.
At the same time, it's difficult to instantly put down something I've worked to build on for several years, so I will be lingering on Steem at least for the next few months as I power down. I will continue to monitor how things progress and defer my final decisions, but my plan for now is to have my main activity take place on Hive, and I recommend the same to anyone, but that's just my take on it. Have a great day!
Big Thx for your reply. I think i will stick around on both chains for time being.
I also figured that you may find this post interesting and worth your time:

It's post published by good friend of mine and I'm helping him to promote their curation trail.
nice
We are in a period of change and equilibrium!
Wow... hadn't thought about going back and pointing old posts to Hive... good that somebody thought of it...
What I think I will do is just share from Hive the best of my NEW posts ... I never shared much from Steemit because I never felt confident in its behavior. But, about Hive, I have a much better feeling...
