December Rave, 2024 - Entertainment at its Peak with Steemians

I've always thought about why entertainment is not a boom on Steemit, but people get themselves entertained almost on a daily basis. It's being channelled to diary game entries, as the thought of writing about entertainment alone may sound somewhat or somehow, so to speak. Feelings of having a few words to write may come. Let me break this.

Entertainment is diverse. It includes movies you watch, dance, music you listen to, and the likes. So for this post, I'll be channelling my attention to how I got entertained during this December period.

During this month, I've been entertained in various ways with Steemians. It's been 5 days and 5 nights of entertainment, almost on a stretch..The following were forms in which this entertainment took this December.

Movie Night with Steemians
Singing with Steemians
Playing games with Steemians
Eating and dining with Steemians
Shopping with Steemians

I'll start from the movie night with Steemians and discuss how entertaining it was with them. I'll also include videos if available to show proof that we did entertain ourselves through the movie that was filmed.

Movie Night with Steemians - December Rave 1

It all started when we thought of having a movie night with Steemians at a cinema in Uyo. Watching movies in cinemas has always been the best experience, especially when it has to do with horror movies, my favourite. For the sake of others that would watch the movie, something entertaining and comic relief was filmed with the title... TRIBE OF JUDAH by one of the most comic relief actresses, whose movies are hitting the net real hard in Nigeria.

We gathered together as one big Steemit family to watch this movie. Popcorn and drinks were sold in the cinema area, and it was totally free because they were doing a 40 days and 40 nights rave to advertise their newly opened cinema in the absence of the existing. We bought popcorn and drinks to watch the interesting movie. The movie was mixed with emotions and laughter.

In summary, a woman had 5 sons from 5 different men in different tribes in JUDAH. These men ran away, leaving her with these 5 boys to take care of alone. Due to her inability to train them at once, some of them went wayward while others were hard-working in providing for the family, and the mother was the only breadwinner.

**Due to her tears and occasional complaints as to the behaviour of her wayward sons, her kidney failed, and she had a stroke whose treatment fee was exorbitant and difficult to pay by her sons. She sold almost everything but couldn't raise money for daily dialysis, worsening her condition.

Her 5 sons did all they could to raise this money but couldn't. They resorted to stealing from a furniture shop where the manager was doing money laundering. They broke into his shop as planned and took some hard currencies, but things didn't go as planned. Another gang with intentions of stealing the money as well broke in, and they were just fighting themselves to the point that one of the gang men shot the first son of this woman with a stroke.

He died instantly, leaving the rest in tears, though they took some money out and fled to their home. Investigations were carried out in search of those who broke into the shop. The other gang was arrested and killed while a thorough search for these 5 boys was done.

To their knowledge, they took their mother and fled out of the country, never to be seen again. The lies behind the cover-up and comical activities by these actors and actresses made the movie an entertaining one. After the movie, we all clapped in satisfaction. Others who came to watch were also glad they watched the movie.

We got entertained that day and left for our different homes since it was already late. The presence of @benton3, @ngoenyi, @fortwis09, @wizzyboy, @nsijoro, @whizzbro4eva, and @basil20 was acknowledged.

Singing with Steemians

It was a Saturday night this December, and we gathered to celebrate the end of the year party for being together this long and also buying out time to see ourselves during the year and also providing encouragement whenever necessary.

This time, we were just a few in number, as most people aren't comfortable with late-night movement. We went to Christmas Village, a booming place in my city where people come together to have fun. We gathered at a Steemians stand, @eliany, and ordered drinks and foods to savour the moments. After enjoying ourselves with the various delicacies brought forward, @kemsyluv and @ngoenyi were the vocalists while I was the instrumentalist.

The place was booming but with no songs to keep us lively. Reasons why these two initiated vocals to be sung to keep the place in shape and lively. We were the bone of contention in that place as everyone turned attention to where we were seated to get the hit jams.

Songs from old artiste were sung, which brought memories into the minds and hearts of those advanced in age. It was an entertaining moment and a fun moment as well. The video below can explain what happened there.

After hours of singing, we went live on stage, where @kemsyluv hit the environment with a different energy. We brought vibes on stage and motivated a lot of people to be vibey and active as they were just sitting all through. While songs were played, I was dancing to the tones. It was a memorable day, I must admit, one of its kind, though.

Eating and dining with Steemians

It was also an interesting session to dine with Steemians in Uyo and create special moments. Drinks were tabled and foods like

Isiewu
Smoked salmon fish
Eba and Soup
Suya
Smoked catfish, etc., were served.

I ate to my satisfaction and a good game rant was played during the cat fish round. The likes of @toflex, @basil20 and @fortwis09 were the bones of contention. It was at this point I knew that there were Steemians who knew how to eat well. The smoked fish brought to us was hot and bony but didn't ring a bell. As it was unwrapped, the flesh and bones were gone in a minute, leaving the head. I was like, even as the fish is hot?.

It was as if some people had coolers in their mouths that the hotness didn't affect them. The second round came and I did justice to it as I was intimidated during the first round. I was prepared to take down some flesh. The fun of this moment can't leave my mind easily. It would always be remembered. The entertainment was just there.

Playing Games with Steemians and Shopping

Still on this same move, we had a good time playing games of our choice. While some were busy playing tennis, I played an Ayo game with @benton3 and @ngoenyi. @ngoenyi won us in the game, but it didn't end there. @benton3 switched to playing with @nsijoro, who won @basil20 and @whizzbro4eva and won him. @ngoenyi played with @wizzyboy3 and I, and @wizzyboy3 was the winner while I played with @whizzbro4eva and won him.

It was very funny and entertaining. Aside from the game being entertaining, it improved our thinking abilities, and the game involves a lot of reasoning.

Our December this year was one in a million. I enjoyed every bit of the fun and moments shared. I wonder how next year you would be when sbd is back to stay. Share your fun moments; let's laugh.
