Visit to Behala Art Fastival - Season V

Here are the pictures of the Behala Art Festival's installations photos books graphite performance art etc. It's probably the only festival of Kolkata by the name of neighbourhood. Here residents provide house as well as articles and objects for the installation.

Performance based Installation

Daisuke Takeya, a performance artist from Japan, explores the site to re-evaluate the value/currency system. The purchasing- non purchasing power/element associated with currency as well as juxtaposition of discarded found materials with usable ones.

This is organising area of the festival where all seminars and talks take place in the parking place of the building. The graphite is also temporarily done by the participants.

A lady form Netherlands appeared in a fashionable attire with a local mat in the armpit, umbrella in hand and Durable hawker tray, padded shoulder harness. Perfect for stadium, arena, and event vending.

No I'm a local resident and visited the fest yesterday again where I saw the Dutchwoman's performance, she has turned her tray into a piri ( seat stool). No I didn't try the wheel.
