Spanish lessons through literature/creative writing: "clase n.3 segundo acto"

in Knack4buzz8 days ago

Dear students, are you ready for the second part of the Spanish lesson through literature n.3? Very good, let's follow little Diego, how he's going with the apartment his family shares with the granny:

Some dictionary:
BALCÓN = BALCONY

VIDRIO = GLASS (PUERTA DE VIDRIO = GLASS DOOR)

VIVIENDA: it's a synonymous of DEPARTAMENTO, carrying a larger meaning as in general it means HOUSING or ACCOMODATION

TENDEDERO = CLOTHESLINE

CORTINAS = CURTAINS

SÁBANAS = BEDSHEETS

PANORAMA = LANDSCAPE, PANORAMA

Here the video-slide with the pronunciation:

I registered the pronunciation and I added an image for the video-slide from Pixabay, among those can be freely used. You find it here:

Did you read the lesson and watched the video-slide? Very well, let's go now to see the English translation🤗:

DIEGO'S DIARY (=EL DIARIO DE DIEGO): lesson n.3 second part (=clase n.3 segundo acto)

Dear friends, I will now finish the description of the flat where I live with my family. I missed to mention the balcony, which is located at the back of the living room. A glass door leads to the only balcony in the flat. My mother uses it to hang the washed clothes on the clothesline that takes up most of the space. The glass panes of the balcony door are covered by almost transparent curtains made of old torn sheets. They had been fixed by my grandmother for that purpose. So my sister and I, when we lay down on our bunk, glimpse a panorama made of clothes hanging on our clothesline. All right, that's all for today, see you next time.

Hasta la vista...
