After this incident, Nawfal made a pact of mutual cooperation with Banu Abd Shams against Banu Hashim. Meanwhile, Banu Khuza'ah saw that Banu Najjar had helped Abdul Muttalib in this way, so they said, "Just as Abdul Muttalib is your son, we also have his son."
Therefore, we have a greater right to his help---the reason for this was that Abdul Manaf's mother belonged to the tribe of Khuza'ah---so Banu Khuza'ah went to Dar-e-Nadwah and made a pact of cooperation with Banu Hashim against Banu Abd Shams and Banu Nawfal.
This was the pact that later led to victory in the Islamic era. The details are coming in their own place.
Two important incidents happened to Abdul Muttalib regarding the Kaaba. One was the incident of digging the well of Zamzam and the other was the incident of the elephant.
🍂Digging the Well of Zamzam ::-
The summary of the first incident is that Abdul Muttalib dreamed that he was being ordered to dig the well of Zamzam and in the dream he was also told its location.
After waking up, he started digging and gradually the things that Banu Jurham had buried in the well of Zamzam when they left Mecca were discovered.
Namely, swords, armor, and two golden deer. Abdul Muttalib molded the door of the Kaaba with swords. And he fitted two golden deer in the door itself and arranged for the pilgrims to drink Zamzam water.
During the excavation, this incident also occurred that when the well of Zamzam appeared, the Quraysh started arguing with Abdul Muttalib and demanded that he also take part in the excavation.
Abdul Muttalib said, I cannot do that. I have been appointed for this work, but some of the Quraysh people did not come.
It was even decided to go to a priestess of Banu Saad for a decision and they set out from Mecca, but on the way, Allah Almighty showed them such signs that they understood that the work of Zamzam was appointed by nature for Abdul Muttalib.
Therefore, they returned from the way. It was at this time that Abdul Muttalib vowed that if Allah gave him ten sons, all of whom reached the age where they could protect him, he would sacrifice one of them at the Kaaba.
