SLC22-W2 / Branches of Law.
Assalam o Alaikum Everyone I hope all of you are fine and happy in your life. Here is my participation in the steemit contest. This is week 2 participation. This contest was organised by @anasuleidy. The contest focuses on exploring the Branches of Law, encouraging participants to apply their understanding of public and private law by providing examples from their country’s legal system.
What is Law?
It is a system of rules for any country set by governments or authorities to regulate behavior. It helps to maintain order in society and make difference in what is right and what is wrong.
Task 1:
Public Law
- Constitutional Law in Pakistan
The Constitution of Pakistan (1973) defines the division of powers and the fundamental rights of citizens.
Why It’s Public Law:
This ensure law between government and state people have freedom to speech for right things and also for equality. This is basically for trust for right things.Criminal Law in Pakistan
For example, the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) is the primary legislation that defines criminal activities and also they ensure for their punishments.
- Why It's Public Law:
Criminal law is the law where the state is a party to prosecute individuals who violate social norms, such as theft or assault. It manifests the state's obligation to maintain order and protect its citizens.

Private Law
- Contract Law in Pakistan
The Contract Act of 1872 government agreements between people, such as business contracts or lease agreements.
- Why It’s Private Law:
It ensures all the relationships between the people and their agreements for their rights without adding the government until some disturbance happens.

- Family Law in Pakistan
The Muslim Family Laws Ordinance handles matters such as marriage, divorce, inheritance, and guardianship.
- Why It’s Private Law:
This law deals with personal relationships and individual rights, focusing on matters such as relationships between individuals and their rights and obligations. like family, marriage, divorce, child custody, and other personal issues.

I take these examples because they are most recognized and provide clear-cut answers between public law (involving the state and societal interests) and private law (governing individual or group relationships). I can you other examples but I think these are more suitable for these laws.
Task 2:
Among all the branches of law I stand out with Constitutional Law for many reasons.
- Protects all Rights such as freedom of expression and religion, which are essential for societal progress.
- The judiciary system is best written.
Task 3
Legal Experience
Onnce I had an experience like my employer delayed salary payments for three months. I was thinking to take a legal action but for some how I didn't do this. But I have a friend who were at the same situation. we were working on sam place and he take a legal action. he took the matter to the court, and their issue resolved the issue under the principles of Labor Law. Also, I got my salary with their action.
The court listens to both my friend and an employer for a hearing. After hearing the evidence, we added including the employment contract and payment records, the court ordered the employer to pay us the pending amount and also they took action on it and plenty for fines.
We went to the court to take legal action because these law are made for these situations. And we are on the right position. We didn't do anything wrong.
Thank you for reading this blog. All the tasks have been done. I invite @ammar2021,@teukuipul87, and @isha-rehman to participate in this contest.
