I hope you are all doing well!
Yesterday was a truly special day as one of my school friends got engaged. To make it even more exciting two other friends from school were also invited. We were all excited about this mini-reunion since it had been almost two years since we last met in person. Though we stayed connected through our phones, meeting face to face felt so much more meaningful.
We planned to arrive together at 9 pm so i started getting ready at 8 pm and left for the event at 8:40 pm. I reached a little late at around 9:15 pm and on my way i started receiving calls from my friends asking where i was. They teased me for my tardiness as they had arrived exactly on time. I admired how punctual they were.
Once i arrived, we greeted each other with big smiles and warm hugs. Together we went to meet the bride, her mother and her sisters. After exchanging heartfelt congratulations, we sat together, laughing and reminiscing about old times. It felt like no time had passed since our school days.
As the bride posed for the photographers we took few pictures of her ourselves. She looked stunning. Soon we took pictures with her.
Then it was the time for the bride's entry. It was absolutely dreamy with soft lighting and music creating a beautiful atmosphere. The bride and groom shared a sweet dance. The groom twirled her gracefully in circles.
Next was the much awaited ring ceremony. The groom gently placed the ring on the bride’s finger and then she placed the ring on the groom’s finger. It was a heartwarming moment.
After the ring ceremony the traditional rasams started and the couple was showered with love and blessings. Meanwhile, my friends and i continued with our never ending talks and laughter, reliving old memories and creating new ones.
Soon a beautiful cake was brought onto the stage for the couple to cut.
Everyone gathered around and the bride and groom cut the cake together.
Afterward dinner was served. The food was amazing but i was so busy in catching up with my friends that i completely forgot to take pictures. We enjoyed the meal while continuing our lively conversations, sharing stories and making plans to meet again soon.
Finally at around 12 am we bid goodbye to the bride, her family and each other. Before leaving i took some mirror selfies to wrap up the night.
