Quit Global Thinking!
I was watching a lecture on how to cure depression, and my greatest takeaway was: global thinking is the reason behind most of your depression.
What he meant by global thinking is the type of mindset that whenever you have a bad day you never think to yourself: "it's a bad" but rather you say something like: "I hate my life" "why is the world so ruthless?"
When something unfortunate happens to you you never think of it as a single unfortunate event but rather you might think: "my life is wrecked" or "I can't take life anymore"
As soon as the speaker highlighted this concept I reflected on how many times I fell into this trap, and I also reflected on how many people I know who think in this exact same way.
Global thinking makes your life a misery and amplifies every negative event to the maximum size, and it can work the other way too.
Sometimes when life was good I thought to myself: "life's a dream" "life can't get any better" which led me to making the wrong decisions.
Global thinking in all its shapes and forms is harmful, it makes you disassociated from reality. You should never allow a single negative or positive event to make you change your perspective on life, because life is much broader than that.
Many of the Bitcoin holders for example who also think globally might think now that's it, I'm settled for life. What this way of thinking will lead them to is ignoring the fact that there must be another decline in value very soon.
Our lives are not dictated by the small events, and they can rarely change the course of our life in this perceived way.
People who think globally are doomed to failure, regardless of the direction!
