So today my topic is about lentils, as you must have seen from my title. Lentils... uff. So, today lentils were cooked at our house.

But no, not just like that I will tell you everything. So what happened today was that my brother who always feels hungry at odd times was repeatedly saying since Maghrib that he was feeling extremely hungry. And coincidentally, today both my sister and I were also feeling hungry.
We asked MAMMA when will the food be ready? We are really hungry today. My mom said, It’s almost done.

Now, the funny part was that none of us knew what was being cooked except for my elder sister because she had to make the rotis.
Anyway, I got busy on my laptop, my brother got busy on his and the rest of them my mom and sister were making the rotis. Okay now let’s move to the food part.
What happened was my dad had brought apples today. While working on my laptop I ate an apple but still my hunger wasn’t satisfied.

Anyway now voices were coming from outside, The food is ready come eat.
My sister and I got up. My sister went first. Then I heard her saying, Mom, I am not hungry.
Mom said,Eat food. Then I went out and when I saw the lentils with roti believe me, my hunger just disappeared. I just wanna lentils with rice.

I can’t even explain how fast it vanished. I said Mamma I just ate an apple, I can’t eat right now. And here the matter would have ended BUT.....

unfortunately, at the same time my brother also chimed in saying Mom, you should have made something else something delicious I am not hungry.
And then well, you all can guess what happens after this sentence. I looked at him as if saying, Why did you have to say that you knew what was going to happen next.
My dad said, These kids have become so ungrateful, they don’t even realize that they should eat whatever they get with patience and gratitude.
There are so many people who don’t even have anything to eat, and these kids tantrums never end.

Aye Haye, and then what happened... only we know what class we were given.
Anyway, in the end, we all had to sit down and eat. But literally when I ate it its awesome I just taste every bite. i was delicious. lentils are rarely cooked at our house because when they are, most of the time, everyone’s hunger just disappears except for my mom and dad.
when I ate it today i really realize that we should thanks to Allah for this beautiful things.

we should be grateful that we have food to eat. There are so many people who have nothing to eat. So, we should always be thankful to Allah for everything.

But these moments are also a small, beautiful part of life, and later on, these are the things we remember.

We should accept everything with patience and gratitude, but this was just a small part that I wanted to share with you. Sharing this story doesn’t mean that we are ungrateful rather, it’s a trivial matter that is often found in someone in almost every household. And as time passes such actions remain only as memories.
