My Town in Ten Pics - Night Version
I have finally collected some pictures of the place where I live. This is the month of Ramadan and days are very hot so we prefer not going out unnecessarily. All the hustle bustle in the shops and cafes begin in the evening, after Iftar time. This is one of the reason I'm presenting here the night version of #mytowntenpics.
I live in Risalpur (w3w code), a small city located in Khyber Pakhtoon Khwah, Pakistan. This city is known as Home of Eagles and Home of Sappers. Home of Eagles because Pakistan's only Airforce Academy is in this city which has yielded impeccable pilots over the years and Home of Sappers because there is an army setup here as well.
Through this post, I will show you around the residential area.. Let's begin...
This place is the heart of the town. It has a small yet exquisite café and a large playground in front. It is the best place to spend the evening with your family. The menu includes some delicious desserts, salads, fast food, Pakistani food etc. Live Barbecue also happens every weekend.
There's an arrangement for multimedia in the open. We watch Finales of Cricket Matches with friends and family there while enjoying the Barbecue.
The café also offers a pretty spot on the rooftop for private parties as well.
Sports Complex offers variety of sports and recreational activities for kids and adults. One of which is Tennis. In the above picture, you can see the tennis court.
Another activity that sports complex offers is Futsal. Young boys are often seen here in the evening. I captured this picture while strolling with my family in the area.
There are very few independent houses in the area due to huge population. To accommodate more families in less space, there are usually different types of flats which are mostly in triple storeys.
This is the main supermarket of the town. Don't judge it by its façade, the insides are full of high quality and variety of products that any big supermarket in a big city can have. The place caught fire in the last winter, luckily there was no human loss but the goods were badly damaged. They renovated the insides but exterior is still the same.
We usually do our monthly grocery from there. Due to its location, the rates are slightly higher, but during strict Covid lockdowns, we were only allowed to visit this place with SOPs. Therefore, it was a life savior in tough times.
We usually walk on this road at night as at the end of the road, there's school of my son. He excitedly shows us around whenever we go. One more reason is that sports complex and a café is on the same road. Therefore, after eating we stroll here.
Due to the increasing accommodation issues, High Rise apartments are being constructed. Currently, there are two functional buildings and foundation of four more such structures have been laid. Each building has eight storeys with four flats on each, a basement for parking, separate elevators for people and cargo.
Only draw back is that Risalpur faces minor Earthquakes every other day. Though they are minor, but whoever lives at the top floor gets scared to hell. XD
I love the entrance of this park that's why the picture landed here in this post. The park is beautiful as well. I will show you more of it in the daylight some other day. I took this picture in February and talked about my visit in this post.
This Red Palace is also in the Once Upon a Book Park which my kids dearly love. I took this picture in winters that's why you can see my baby wearing winter clothes. It's so hot today, can't believe it was shivering cold couple of weeks ago.
This is one of favorite and the only Library which looks gorgeous as well. It not only looks beautiful from outside but also from the inside. It's not much big but no worries, there are enough books for me. XD
I took this picture in February also and talked about my visit in this post.
I hope you enjoyed watching my town in these 10 pictures. After Ramadan, I will try to collect pictures of some more beautiful places during the day time. Stay Tuned.
Note: All pictures are taken with my Redmi Note 11.

Pakistan is indeed very beautiful only if we learn to maintain it and keep it clean then it could easily be the world's best tourist attraction.
