Hello everyone, how are you doing all? I hope fine. So everyone in this #blog I am going to tell you all about my favorite dish. But first, there will be a little suspense "(◔_◔)"as I am going to talk about food first. As I am a foodie and I love and respect food. Actually, it is kind of my hobby laying on the bed all day and just eats whatever I get 😂, which can be in the form of toffee, biscuits, and anything which is eatable.

As I love to eat and cook. Food gives us energy. Without food, there is no life. There are so many dishes available in today’s world some like Pakistani foods like Biryani, Nihari, Mutton Korma, Haleem, etc whereas some like western foods like Pizza, Burger, Noodles, etc. But I don't really eat western food because of some problem in my ABDOMEN and those heavy and fast food makes me vomit. But it is not like I don't like western food I sometimes eat them in little quantity to make my self happy.

My Favorite dish

Now I think this is enough suspense 😉 and it is time to break through and tell my favorite dish. Among the number of food, my favorite dish is Aloo keema (by Aloo this is Potato and my keema it is Ground Beef). And you can call it Ground Beef and Potatoes. Keema is a quintessential dish in every Muslim home. Aloo keema slowly cooked with whole spices is a perfect dish and certainly, a show stopper in every get together parties. Aloo Keema can be cooked dry or as gravy as well. Fried potatoes give a required character to the dish. So WHY is my favorite dish. Actually, from my childhood, I was really fond of Potatoes because it is easy to eat and when it mixes up with Ground Beef the taste doubles and I can not explain in words how much I love that dish.

How is it cooked

That is a difficult point for me as I have never made it but my MOM has, so it took me half an hour to get her to write me ingredients and how we cook this dish #momourpower.

So the ingredients to make ALOO KEEMA are:

  • 4 cloves garlic, Keema (Ground Beef)
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger root
  • 3 potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 (28 ounces) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 extra-large Spanish onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons water (Optional)
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 serrano chile pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala

So there are 3 Steps to make KEEMA ALOO

Stage 1

Firstly, heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Cook and mix onion in the hot oil until it starts turning brown. If the onion stuck on the pan use some water to loosen it.

Stage 2

Then mix Keema(Ground beef), garlic, and cilantro into the pan then cook and mix until meat is Browned, up to 10 to 15 minutes. Lessen heat to medium-low. Then Mix cumin, turmeric cayenne pepper, salt, and coriander into that and then cook and mix until flavors mix, around 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and potatoes, cover the pot for 15 minutes.

Stage 3

Sprinkle garam masala over the dish, cover, and let represent 5 minutes prior to serving.

Different Selling Rates of Aloo Keema:

I actually don't really eat outside because I like my mother's hand dishes but some time ago I visit my nearby restaurant and they charge me around Rs. 150 plate which is around $ 0.94. But I can give an approximate as it cost around Rs.130 - Rs.300 per plate in different restaurants.

With all this I will like to end my #blog here. This contest really charges me up and I didn't know where my 1 hour go while making this #blog. I am a big foodie and I was really waiting for something like that, where I can talk about my favorite dish and food. Good work @steemit-pak.
